Which isn't normally a problem except that for some mental reason, I've decided we're having aubergine parmigiana and garlic bread.
And there is only a remoska to cook both. The aubergine parmigiana takes precedence in it so I need a way of defrosting/cooking the frozen garlic bread.
Other appliances in the house include microwave, toaster, kettle, portable induction hob and a toastie maker.
I'm tempted to cut the baguette into small pieces and put it in the toaster or toastie maker, any other ideas anyone?
Would use the gas bbq but we're out of gas.0 -

How does bread taste nuked?0

Think I'd opt to microwave the bread...other wise the garlic butter dripping might catch fire in the toaster? You could probably then crisp the outside up after a fashion in the tastie maker?
Just saw you have portable hob....FRY The bread on that after you have nuked it!0 -
Good suggestion above, what we normally do is make a loaf and lots of garlic butter, cook the toast in the toaster and spread with garlic butter afterwards, that would maybe help next time.

Hi All,
We have not had an oven for a while now. We have the hob part working / slow cooker and george forman. We have managed by eating pasta / omellettes / mash & something.
Does anyone have any other ideas on what we can cook, my mind just gone blank really!
Thanks0 -
most of my day to day cooking is done on the hob - i use the oven once or twice a week max
so rice, mash, saute pots, cous cous are all options besides pasta
curries, casserole, stir fry, spag bol, chilli etc to go with the above
sausages, burgers, chops, steak, kebabs, fish pieces, hm bean/vege burgers on george,
one pot dishes such as pilau, jambalaya etc
roasts in the slow cooker - chekc out crockpot365 blog for inspirationPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
