forgotten the name for them, but you put a wrap in a non stick pan, cover it with lots of chopped veg eg peppers, spring onions, courgettes etc, then sprinkle grated cheese over then press down a wrap on top. Let it cook, flip it over and let it cook again. Slide it off the plate and cut into wedges and serve with salad. Dead healthy and you puy in whatever you have to hand plus cheese.0

Also highly recommend a slow cooker or a mini oven. Mine was best kitchen purchase ever made, especillay ideal if just two of you. Mini Oven cooks faster than normal oven, saves electric, and saves on space, for £100 you should be able to get a good quality one with a grill and hobs on top too.0

Wow thanks so much! I wasnt really wanting to buy any equipment, as we will just have to leave it here and there arent really any second hand or even charity shops that could benefit. Gave me some good ideas tho! i can get away from the supernoodles now!It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

Our oven is broken and there is no way I can afford a replacement at least for a few months. If anyone could suggest some cheap meals that could be cooked on the hob and in the microwave I would be so grateful!
I've been buying microwave meals but finding them expensive and not very nutritious, so any suggestions would be great. It is for me, my partner and my 3 year old daughter.
thanks in advance!0 -
Most of my stuff is done on the hob only. I hardly ever use the micro and the oven is really only for roasts.
I make: risotto, pastas, stir frys, steamed/fried fish or meat with veg, chilli, bolognese, stews, all sorts really.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Do you have a slow cooker? If not may be worth the small investment in one as you can do alot of the stuff you would do in an oven like stews and roasts.
Loads of stuff can be done on the hob, pasta, pasta sauces,chillis,soups.
good luck
