any recipes are good thank you im at a loose end with no cooker0 -
Casseroles, soups, bolognaise or chilli con carne are all easily made on the hob. Using vegetables and pulses will keep the costs down.
Lots of recipes on the Old Style Recipe Index hereThanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Hi Everyone,
I'm out in Australia for a year with my OH, the flat we have is lovely but as it is city central, its tiny and thus there is no room for an oven. I'm running out of meal ideas. To be honest, at home i was a really poor chef, having ready meals and frozen pizza etc most of the time. Now we are eating fresh we have lost a lot of weight but are geting sick of the same food.
I'm not a fan of red meat. so i think thats where im struggling!
So far i've done : Egg, Gammon, beans!! lol, chicken (stirfried, with veg, pasta)
Microwaved 'baked' potatoes, Soup, Fajitas, salads, erm..... cant think of any more at the mo, actually i think thats it. It's mainly evening meal that i need help with!!
Thanks in advance!!It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

Can you get a slow cooker. You can make everything in there. Casseroles, soups, currys, desserts etc.
There is a thread about it if you search for slow cooker recipies.I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:0 -
If the only issue is space look at trying a remoska (see the remoska thread on here) or exchanging the microwave for a combi microwave/oven thingy.
You could make stove top curry or chilli, the thai green curry on the grocery challenge thread recipe index is fab, i make it with cod instead of chicken.
