That's certainly true, but it turned out to be a real struggle for me to get out of a Talk 2 deal within that time.

They'll turn quite a few tricks to keep you 'locked in' past the 30 days (eg, not sending me a Welcome letter with the Activation Date on it, making it a little tricky and time-consuming as you wait on the infamous TT phone queues to find out when you did 'go live'), perhaps so that your 18 month contract disconnection fee and contract minimum can kick in for sure? :mad:

I ended up emailing Charles Dunstone... who referred it to some department called 'Escalations' or 'Retentions'. They then set about assuring me that the poor quality international phonelines and the 300kbps broadband were as easy to rectify as flipping a switch... but calls to Faults previously hadn't improved this and so it wasn't and it didn't. They offered a fiver in credit for 6 months due to these probs. They then warned against getting a BT landline because BT would charge over 120 quid to reconnect me... but call BT and they won't. TT Billing had charged me for services I didn't request and when contacted they promised to credit my account. But they haven't.

Talk Talk phone/broadband packages? They're an attractive offer. I think if they reduced their customer base to say the number of people you see in their ads on tv and started again, I'm sure it'd be a fantastic service. I don't think they (or their system) can handle many more customers at once...
