Do you have this person's email address, as it seems like he may be the only person in the whole of Talk Talk who actually knows how to do his job?

Also - as I've been told by Talk Talk to "ignore these bills - they will be waived" - does anyone know if Talk Talk are going to be reporting to credit reference agencies that I'm not paying my bills?

I had a settlement cheque in the post yesterday. Good Luck!

they have "completed a disconnection form" and "requested a credit" of the amount owed. Forgive me if I'm cynical at this stage, but still not sure I've heard the end of this.
I wrote that on 27th August, I was right not to trust them. Have now received ANOTHER bill, this time we're up to about £75.

I've spoken to Otelo today, they reckon they can take on my case, so now I'm going to do their online form and start assembling all the paperwork.

I hope this is the beginning of the end of it!

Have now had an admission following numerous emails, letters and calls to cs that my bb has not been 2meg for the past 6 months but has indeed been only 512. I have been paying for the service initial £30 + monthly £10 and not been getting what I had contracted. TT say they will put it right but will take time I have asked for refund on £10', should I look for some compensation it has taken loads of time and ignored effort to get this far. Or indeed should I get the refund from them and request release from the 18 month tie in then move my service to another possibly cheaper provider.
    Any views?

  • If they'll let you out... GET OUT!!!
But keep the notification that they released you.

My update: Have filed the complaint, just about to send all the paperwork off to the ombudsman.
Can everyone keep their fingers crossed for me?
  • I am in a similar situation with talktalk/CW - I cancelled my service with them in April and moved provider. I am still receiving bills, as well as letters from their billing dept about my 'unpaid bills' and was threatened once with debt collection (this hasn't happened since about July)
I would be interested to know whether their threatening debt collectors would have resulted in credit agencies being informed.
Also has anyone had any luck in getting any compensation from them for harassment? I have given up phoning as it's like weeing in the breeze and have corresponded mre recently by email only. I have however spent about £5 on phone calls, and more time than I care to remember composing emails that try to be forceful without being abusive and pleading with them to jolly well leave me alone!
I've had at least 2 firm assurances that my account has been closed, bills cancelled, nothing to worry about etc, then another bill arrives.
How can I make it stop, and what can I expect from them to make it up to me (an end to the bills would be enough!)

    Try Otelo; https://www.otelo.org.uk

The procedure is quite strict. And you also need to have sent a recorded complaint letter to Garry Poole (see my previous posts) before Otelo will consider taking your case on. But they are very approachable and you can chat to them to see if it's worth you pursuing this path.

If they think it is, the on-line form for the ombudsman is straightforward, although you do need details of when you first complained and evidence.
Part of the form is what you want the company to do to resolve it; I went for the simple request of close the account and stop billing me, but you could ask to be compensated.

If you get no result from Simon Rawlings, you could try this, although admittedly it probably is a last resort.
