Well went into HSBC. After waiting 20 minutes to see someone, they photocopied the documents and said they'd sort it. Just waiting for the account to show on internet banking.

I had a curious thing in the post today.

I am currently challenging a PayDay loan debt. I say I have paid it (I have provided them proof in way of a bank statement) and they say I haven't. It has been passed to 2 or 3 debt collection agencies. This morning I got a new one but it was strange. I would pay part of the debt off and they they would transfer the rest to a credit card. The limit would be £100 and the debt would sit there at 0% for the life of the balance. The credit card is operated by Raphael's Bank - the same lot who do/did Monument

    http://www.balancetransferprogramme.co.uk/ is the website

Well I got my credit agreement for this card in the post this morning. Will post a pic once (if :D) I receive it.

Eh? this is the card that has replaced Monument and if you repaid the loan then tell them to get lost! Why would you pay something you've got proof of paying?

Come on cif mate - use your noggin! :j

Well it turns out in the end I didn't pay it. The money bounced back to my account but I overlooked that on the statement. The company had to point it out to me. :o They even showed me documents from Barclays (their bank) showing the money as being returned.

I have the feeling that they're just posting off the photocopies they took today. She just looked on her computer quickly, photocopied my passport and university letter and said she'd get them sent off.

My gap year account still hasn't shown on internet banking. At the end of the application, it said you like a credit card and I clicked yes and it asked a few more details. I still have no idea whether this was accepted or not. I know the account was definitely accepted.

I am being scammed like billy-o on ebay. I am trying to sell my old phone and have now listed it 4 times on ebay. The first 3 times three bloody Nigerians ended the auction and started sending fake PayPal emails begging me to send it imploring that they had paid. What annoys me the most is that you can't even give them a negative rating!

Just ban overseas bidders, bidders that haven't been verified and people who dont have a credit card on file. You can do it in ebay settings.

I did that when I listed it for the 4th time. I didn't allow bidders who didn't have a PayPal account or didn't live in the UK and those who had a rating of -1 or less. Its a pity I could not ban people with a rating of 0 and most of the scammers had that. I have also listed the phone on Amazon Maketplace but even had a scammer there!

Yah I had a few Nigerians bidding on my items. They tried blackmailing me, saying because they won the auction, I'm legally obliged to send the item, and that I wouldn't receive payment until it was sent.

It's always the Nigerians... scumbags.
