Hi everyone,
Signing in!
I was discharged from an IVA 12 months ago so am very much in the 'Sub Prime' category!
Recently got accepted for a Vanquis card, also have a low limit JD Williams account and a Next Directory account.
Hope everyone is well.

Hi Aaron44!
Welcome back to the world of credit, seems you're doing well with Vanquis and JD Williams.
Have you obtained a copy of your credit report to ensure all the old adverse data has dropped off? Remember, all of the default dates from your old credit account should have been on or prior to the date of the IVA and as such after the six years lapses (five years for IVA + 12 months) there should no longer be any adverse.
This should be the case with you so once you've held vanquis and JD for six months you should be alright to get a Cap 1 classic and in another six months a Barclaycard Initial;
Good luck, and keep us posted!Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Has anyone had a credit limit increase on request with capital one classic?
According to new T&C from 1st Nov2009 we can request limit increases.0 -
Today has been my lucky day.
I logged into online banking this morning, only to find someone has deposited £200 in my account. I have no idea where its came from, and certainly haven't expected any sort of deposits from any company.
All it says on the statement "Bank Credit".
I'm going to keep it sitting in my account for a few days incase they try and take it back. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

That sucks. Since it's in my account, it should be legally mine. It would look lovely sitting in my savings account lol.
I was going to ask the bank where it came from, but I don't want to make them aware that the money doesn't belong to me. I'm absolutely sure it isn't mine, payday isn't until next week and I've asked family if they put the money in.We’ve had to remove your signature. Does anyone know when JD Williams would withdraw a credit limit after offering an account to you?
I applied for a JD Williams account yesterday, I got the minimum £125 limit but they did say that this could increase or decrease but how long does it take to do the final checks? I dont wanna spend some and they they ask me to pay by debit or credit card, lol'Sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut':j0 -

seems they declined you
When you log-in you get the limit show in the screen that says 'welcome Miss cocopops' if yours does not have 'You have £XXX to spend' then you've been declined :mad:2010 - year of the troll
