I opened a Lloyds TSB incentive saver today at 3%. HSBC's interest rates are terrible at the moment.0

have you been a good customer? Not thought about a better card yet?0 -
I was in my Halifax branch today depositing some money. The cashier started making conversation with me. Asked me how I'm doing and if I was up to anything tonight.
He took my money and said "Oh, is this your wages?", I said no and he asked what I did. I told him I'm a student and he asked what I was studying, acting like he was interested, asking if I'm enjoying it and such. I then noticed him typing the course I'm studying into the computer.
Is this a tactic they use to get information on your personal circumstances without asking directly? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Once I get out of the 90 odd searches hole and get a better card I will still keep the Capital One card as that was the first one so I will have lots of green 0's. Monument is getting paid off however due to cash flow problems I am paying £5 over the minimum, can't use the account as it is closed now (like all Monument accounts ).
90 searches?! Just wondering.. why so many?
Do you like toying with lenders just as NID does? With his infinite number of searches and a credit report so big, it requires a fork lift truck to deliver it? :rotfl:We’ve had to remove your signature.
