Sub Prime Credit Thread Part III

Good evening everyone.
I'm going into HSBC tomorrow and ask them about opening a HSBC Plus account.
I can't get any credit card yet as non of the sub prime lenders search only Equifax.
I'm still loving my iPhone, I would of waited until Orange and Vodafone release it to see if the price changes, but reading a few posts on here, it seems the price is set by Apple not the Networks, so I didn't bother sending it back.
Have you tried barclaycard? they also have the pre-application check so may be worthwhile?
Let us know how you get on with HSBC....Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

Its a consumer right to cancel any long term regulated or otherwise agreement from the comfort of your own home in case you were forced to sign! Some older people have been duped this way mate.
Just to clarify, (even though I know TheEffect has sorted his cancellation), you have NO legal right of cancellation for a contract signed in person on the business premises. Ask any Trading Standards office or google it.
The legal right if cancellation is under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 and allows a person to cancel a contract entered into by mail order, over the phone or the internet and allows 7 working days to cancel.
When a business allows cancellation of a contract set up in-store they are doing outside of any legal obligation and you will find most of the mobile networks have stopped doing the 14 day satisfaction trial.
www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/after_you_buy/know-your-rights/mobiles/When you buy a mobile phone, in order to make or receive calls you will need to be connected to a network. You may do this by having a line rental contract or through buying a voucher which will allow you access to the network. At this point, you will enter into a contract with the Network Service Provider. You have no rights if you simply change your mind.
If the service hasn’t been carried out at all, or totally fails to meet the way it was described, you may be entitled to a refund, compensation or both.
If there is a fault on the network or SIM card, you are probably entitled to compensation.
Important points to bear in mind:- Read the terms and conditions of your agreement with the Network Service Provider.
- You have no rights if you simply change your mind.
- However, you have seven working days to cancel a contract for goods ordered by telephone, mail order, email or fax, except for those goods which are made to order. See Returning or cancelling orders for more information.

Well I spoke to NatWest. They couldn't see what happened exactly because my account is now closed and off their system, I told them that was rather convenient.
They said they've "opened a case" with headoffice to find out why it happened. She admitted herself I shouldn't have got charged. They just don't know why or what to do about it. I was speaking with the same girl who closed my account and withdrew the 1p interest.
Apparently I'll get a phone call within 2 days. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

never-in-doubt wrote: »M&S is issued by HSBC (mainstream) - why dump that?
Because I can't balance transfer to an HSBC 0% card as they run the M & S one, and M & S have reduced my limit, put up the APR, and refused to reconsider on appeal. I pay off Vanquis in full monthly, am chipping away at M & S but feel I have been badly treated.Magiciansgirl0 -
