Went into NatWest to close one of my current accounts with them. The supervisor took me into a room and was checking that she can close the account, on the computer. Making sure there were no pending transactions and such. She said there is an interest payment due soon, and she can't close the account until she has given me the interest.
So she took me back to the main counter and gave me the interest that was due to be paid to me. She handed me 1p and told me not to spend it all at once (lol), I said to her I would try not spend it all and I asked her for 2 half pennys instead.We’ve had to remove your signature. never-in-doubt wrote: »Mate they simply cannot exist, as Proliant says - they (the cra's) would be breaking the law. If you cannot see them online/statutory report then they do not exist.... the only hidden items are cifas but its not 'really' hidden cos the CRA will tell you to sar cifas if there is a 'hidden' one (they hide them to avoid a fraudster seeing them if they were to apply for the credit file!).....
So the guy at equifax must be;
a) Talking !!!!!! (nothing new there then)
b) Looking at a 'secret or internal' system (a SAR should show any notes etc)
c) Seeing the 'link' that you cannot see, i.e. you were incorrectly linked to 1 anyplace, and he went into that profile and seen the link in that address to your address with the DCA search.
Assume option c, this is similar to me. I cannot now see the 'linked address' on my CRA but it is still there (somewhere)? Basically the lenders can see it but it does not show on my credit file. The reason for this is because if they search me at my real address then see a link; they will search that too, so they can see the data at 1 anyplace this would show the DCA search linking me to my real address...
Gettit?
Do you not remember when I got declined an iphone? I rung up credit referrals @ 02 who mentioned the link?
This was a link that I could not see however equifax corrected this.
I have also been advised by equi!!!!! that not all linked addresses show on your online report so they can and have previously sent me a complementry postal report.

In a nut shell, the number of CAIS you have, which are active or inactive CAIS, are generally the number of accounts you have on-the-go at present, merely a name used by lenders alike.Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

I know what you're saying mate but I mentioned option c - this is what the hidden link is by them searching the linked address which you can't see cos you never lived there! They see it from archive at CRA which is not relevant to you. Its an awkward one, i'm still arguing about it mate! :beer:2010 - year of the troll

thats interesting - they declined me and I have a landline but its not in my name - could that be why they said I didnt meet their criteria? Hmm.
