    Can you guys help me out with regards to this "KEYS" malarky.

    Go to the CRA and say 'I would like their contact details and reference numbers' - if they (the CRA's) refuse to give you the data they must remove the data - simple :D

    Yeah they ring your mobile however they still ask for a landline ( not 100% sure though )

    I rung up and asked if my card became damaged would I get a new look card. They said I would get the same style card that I currently have :-(

    They are talking Crap! They are trying to get you to agree with them.
    CRA can not hold invisible data, if they are hiding data from you they are breaking the law and will be fined.
    Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

    TBH the guy was quite helpful, he was telling me to assist me on getting them removed. In the past these links have existed and I could not see them. This is such a pain! :mad:

    Mate they simply cannot exist, as Proliant says - they (the cra's) would be breaking the law. If you cannot see them online/statutory report then they do not exist.... the only hidden items are cifas but its not 'really' hidden cos the CRA will tell you to sar cifas if there is a 'hidden' one (they hide them to avoid a fraudster seeing them if they were to apply for the credit file!).....

    So the guy at equifax must be;

    a) Talking !!!!!! (nothing new there then)
    b) Looking at a 'secret or internal' system (a SAR should show any notes etc)
    c) Seeing the 'link' that you cannot see, i.e. you were incorrectly linked to 1 anyplace, and he went into that profile and seen the link in that address to your address with the DCA search.

    Assume option c, this is similar to me. I cannot now see the 'linked address' on my CRA but it is still there (somewhere)? Basically the lenders can see it but it does not show on my credit file. The reason for this is because if they search me at my real address then see a link; they will search that too, so they can see the data at 1 anyplace this would show the DCA search linking me to my real address...

    Gettit? :confused:

  • Just got off the phone to another DCA chasing me. Apparantly all of these incorrect links have been created by a company called KEYS ( Fraud agency who report to CRA's) How do I contact them?

    Although these links are not showing on my file, I have been advised by the DCA that when searching my report they can see the links

    Should that not be "CAIS" and Not "Keys", pronounced the same way apparantly, but relates to Credit Account Information Service, or something akin to it, and basically is a database which lenders share with Experian etc, to show other lenders what active accounts someone has, and whether their payments are up-to-date or not.

    In a nut shell, the number of CAIS you have, which are active or inactive CAIS, are generally the number of accounts you have on-the-go at present, merely a name used by lenders alike.
