Very strange - I'm perplexed also. It's simple enough putting petrol into a diesel car. What type of car was it? But putting diesel into a petrol car, now that is difficult because the nozzle is too big to fit in.
About 8 years ago I filled up my petrol car (a little Nova) with 'petrol' from the petrol pump at Asda - and then my car broke down! The RAC man diagnosed a tank full of diesel! it turns out the diesel had been put into the wrong tank at the asda service station!!0 -
Is scrappage only available on small sensible, fuel efficient cars? Or could I get something I actually enjoy driving?
The £2k off is avail on any model of car. However list prices from the likes of Ford are pre-inflated to £15k for a decent car then de-inflated by the preregistrations specialist back to a more realistic 10k-ish. The risky feel of this is meant to drive the punters into the arms of the expensive main dealers. Have a look at Hyundai i30, it could be an OK drive and the list price looks real rather than pre-inflated.
Oh, and I read the Rolls-Royce joined the scheme, £2k off £220,000 yeah right.0 -
Out of interest has anyone ordered an i20 comfort? Have you got your hands on it yet?0

Oh yes, and out of interest, who has ordered an i10 and got their hands on it? I know it's one of (if not THE) most popular car in the scrappage scheme?0
