OK - number to call for info is 0207 2153870, womans name is Anita Sandy. Think she is getting a million and one calls as you are unable to leave a message now as I presume her mailbox is full!

I couldnt choose my registration (again Ford) it was allocated to me. I remember a friend choosing their 51 plate ford puma "last 3" registration from a list but that was some time ago.

  • Be careful guys and girls, I just had a phone call from my dealer. V5 document is wrong, when I moved address two months ago and updated all my details, they spelt my name wrong on the reg document and evrything else that was sent back to me was correct. Now have had to order an amended V5 doc from them which will take 3-5 days, so longer to wait for car :( check your deatails !!!
  • So outcome of reg still awaiting to hear :( Im a doughnut!!

Hmm on ours they've put 'Mrs' instead of 'Ms'. I have sent a copy of the V5 to them and nothing has been said.

Car is due to be picked up tomorrow and salesman is coming for originals today. Says they need to have original v5 on site when they tax the new car and they need to do that before we pick it up as can't make it till after work. Hope nothing goes wring with that.

On ours they transposed two letters in a first name - Ive sort of penned over it :) - scanned and sent to dealer and nothing has been said. As everything else, including surname and address is the same, I think we are ok?
  • Hmmm Im not sure with this!? As when I was called by my dealer, he stated that Ford would not accept the mistake. Everything has to match to other documents. The name error on mine was Kelly instead of Keely. All addresses the same. Very simple error, yet still wouldn't accept. To be on the safe side, he told me if I rang the DVLA and was very polite to them, and made sure they knew it was there mistake and not mine (in a very nice round about way) and just to make an amendment not a complete new certificate..otherwise would not be then eligable for the scheme, they should be OK. Spoke to a lovely lady at DVLA, whom I explained too would mean non-elegibility etc and she was great said she was sending the amendment off as priority and should be in the post with me shortly. Which I thought was great, I just hope that it arrives soon because was originally meant to be picking my car up sat. But without all documentation matching, my new car can not be registered. So even though you have amended by "penning over" surely the system may come back to you?? Might be worth you checking to be on the safe side. And as for MS and MRs??Pretty similar but I still wouldn't be sure what to do with that one x

Well, its a common mistake in ours Geroge instead of George as a first name, second name and surname correct as is everything else. But point taken, I may give them a ring - did you have to send back the originals?

Oh, they arent taking any calls:(
