Car Scrappage Scheme

I ordered my VW Golf plus on 27 May and have just been told it should be here first week September.
ella, if your budget is £11k before scrappage - I would have thought you could be looking for something with much higher specs that some of those cars you list.0 -
Thanks for your replies. The C2 was £11123 before scrappage which is why we were lookng at around £11000 but the spec wasnt great just 1.4, air con and front electric windows and would prefer to spend a couple of thousand less than this to be honest.
Have been to Hyundai this morning to view the i20 but its a little bit big. Actually quite suprised how big the i10 is as I was expecting it to be tiny. Its a great price but not really the style of car we are looking for but such a bargain for those who are ordering them!
Looked at the Mazda 2 and absolutly LOVE it!! 1.3 and aircon as standard on the basic model for £9250 with £385 extra for metallic paint making it around £1700 cheaper than the Citroen C2 we almost ordered yesterday and in my opinion a much nicer looking car.
Anyway we have a test drive on the Mazda 2 and the Hyundai i10 on Monday and I cant wait. I will continue looking but so far the Mazda 2 is the favorite by far:heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

Here is an online brochure.

I decided to go for the ts2 for the following reasons:
Side curtain airbags
The engine is tweaked that little bit to give it slightly more power
Alloys
Body colored door handles
Heated folding mirrors and body coloured
split folding rear seats.
If you can manage to get the special edition tamura that may be worth a look but if not i think £1000 extra for the ts2 over the ts is worth it.
But if you have 11k you could even treat yourself to the sport, cruise control etc
Have a look at http://www.mazda2forums.co.uk/. Quite a friendly bunch, been on there while waiting for mine to be delivered.0 -

Thanks for that. Your reasons for the extra £1000 for the TS2 match mine exactly! We are decided to pay the extra for metallic paint and for the 5 doors. Dont quote my figures as im just thinking off the top of my head but... the TS would be just over £10000 and the TS2 would work out just under £11000 with paint and doors so sadly the Sport is a little beyond the budget
We are just trying to work out whats more important at the moment to see if we can keep the price down but even going for the TS2 with paint and doors is £50 less than the C2 which we were 99% certain on but is a 1000 times better car :j
Do you know what the standard colour is? Did you choose a colour or just go for that one? I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
Am I missing something, or do the 5 door variants have wind up ( non-electric ) rear windows?0
-
I think a lot of cars do inactive.0
-
I think all the standard 5 door cars have windy back windows, most of the cars I have looked at have 3 different levels - basic, middle and higher - Im looking at the middle ones myself as the spec is usually much better for not too much more money and usually worth the extra for what you get especially if you are planning on keeping the car a while:heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0

OK, many thanks for that, I have done a bit of research and the Hyundai i20 ( middle of the range ) has rear electric windows, I may go and have a look at one.;)0

The standard color is red. I chose metripoliton grey (have to make the car more manly). I was tempted to get orange
It does look a bit cheeky :cool:0
