In the news today - Hyundai sales up 90% compared to same month last year!
Pity that brands with UK manufacturing aren't bothering to be competitive!

but the sale of the car is just a small part of the regeneration aim

car sales are supporting dockworkers, transporters, dealerships, valets, etc. in this country, who then spend their money on other services/products here

Yup, in this nation of shopkeepers, we need to subsidise imported goods. What has this nation come to?

I'm afflicted with the old fashioned idea that UK PLC can and does manufacture good stuff, just a pity that no UK govt for the last 50 years has not wanted to support UK manufacturing in any intelligent way.

I disagree, UK PLC has made some of the worst rubbish made anywhere in the world, we have paid the price now.

    Remember British Leyland Cars?...Nuf Said.

    Plate format from 2010

From 2010, the year identifying number will continue to use the last two digits of the year for cars registered in March, with 50 added to that number for those registered in September.

    So, for example:

    2010: March 10 and September 60
    2011: 11 and 61
    2012: 12 and 62
    2013: 13 and 63
    2014: 14 and 64 etc.

Still waiting for my madza 2 for collection in the next two weeks. Just been told its not even built yet and it takes 8 weeks to get from japan, so looking at end of september. Also to add another nail to the coffin the 3.9% finance deal has ended and i'll now be paying 5.9%. Not fussed about delivery date as i get 59 plate. But quite annoyed about finance.

Well its July 1st so i have now officially ordered my Hyundai i10 comfort - but its gone up in price! I am paying £250 - I was quoted £5450 three weeks ago but today i have had to agree to pay £5700, Hyundai have lowered their scrappage amount from £1200 to £1100 and the car itself has gone up by £150.
Mmm we ordered our i10 Comfort on Friday 4th July and are paying £5495 - we paid deposit of £495 and will pay balance of £5k in August on delivery. So our dealer is holding the price! :j

I'm a little worried about this now! I've paid £495 deposit also, but I've noticed on my paper work where is says final price to pay it's blank!

I suppose I'll find out next week when I collect my car!
