I would of made the same comment if it was a English call representative in Warrington, (giving your CC details and CSV over the phone) sad that people like you have to call a racism card whenever anyone makes a comment which involves a religion or race.
You lefty types causes more problems and make meals out of nothing, go back to your daily mail.....
Yeah yeah course you would have  I'm not trying to play a race card just pointing out the nature of your irreverent comment.
Besides, aren't you getting confused there, wouldn't have thought anyone liberally minded would read the Daily Mail, maybe the Guardian?
As an aside I've received another letter from Three thanking me for the £9.06 and telling me that the account has been closed. Funnily enough came with a letter telling me about how they're reducing roaming costs:D

phoned 3 about the fact that there terms and conditions have changed and the fact i never got the message on my phone to inform me of the change ( 3 like home ) customer services said that i had been sent the message about the changes which i didnt and i have 2 phones which i signed for at the same time and not one message on any of them….with a little arguing over the phone to this idiot i was passed to a manager ( after being on hold for 25 mins)who was a bigger liar than the last person…but then i was told i never got the message as i have never used the service as yet ,even though i was going to use it when on holiday but cant now as it will cost more money with the changes so who is telling the truth ( customer services said got the message then the manager said i didnt )(big con)….the manager then said as it was passed the 30 day period i could cancel my contract but they wanted me to buy my contract out….they then told me if i want to use my mobile abroad i should by another sim card in the country that i will be travelling or use another family members phone…lol, this company is a big con and i will advise anyone who takes a contract with this company to be very carefull as they dont care about the customer, they just want to fob people off and take there money. ( was actually on the phone for 2 hours 35 mins and still no further forward. beware….).0

How incompetent are these people??
I have a final bill from June showing I'm £8.24 in credit. I call them today to ask for a cheque, they make up another final bill supposedly issued after then (and which of course I never got) for £25 something I owe them, but which is somehow reduced to a credit of £1.77, and ask me how I'd like them to pay the £1.77! After 45 mins at this the line went dead. So I'm just writing a nice little letter to exec office, enclosing a photocopy of said final bill and asking them for a cheque, otherwise small claims court. Honestly I thought I was free of these incompetent shysters, but 3 months on I still have issues.
I know its only £8.24 but it really is the principle. I wouldn't mind taking after the guy who sent bailiffs to onetel for £5 they owed him.0 -
I've only just found out about the removal of 3 like home, and the contract I took out is no longer of use!
Can I still cancel?0 -
I never got a text!!!
I didn't know until i looked into how to use it this week.0 -
I only just found out that Three removed the 3 like home facility.
I am posting on behalf of my mum. She lives in danmark now, and originally took a three contract because of 3 like home, over a year ago.
then earlier this year she renewed the contract and got it reduced to a small amount cos she only really uses it now to call a few people in the UK occasionally. it was renewed on 5th june this year.
the first we knew about this was when the phone stopped working. i think it triggered a credit limit or something, cos the next thing is that £80 has gone from her account. her bills still come to my house, so they don't always get opened in a timely manner.
i'll ask her later if she got a text about the changes, but i am not too hopeful about this ending well. i am pretty sure she would have mentioned 3 like home when she renewed, cos that's pretty much the only point in having the phone over there, otherwise she would have just cancelled.
any advice?
cheers

My partner just returned from Hong Kong, to be greeted with a £172 bill for roaming charges incurred there. Neither of us knew anything of this service change, so this was a surprise, to say the least!!
She rang "3", to be told that she had been notified by LETTER that the service was being removed; she wasn't. Nor was she notified by SMS ... she wasn't notified full stop. At the time of writing, "3" are due to call back within the next two days, to tell us what they intend doing about this bill.
One thing that got their attention, was the fact that the "3" Website still documents the "3 Like Home" service - I found the links via their search function.
"Sorry as a new user you are not allowed to post with links. This is done to stop spammers clogging up the site. "

You might have a case - and it's a *BIG* might.
If Hong Kong is one of the countries covered in the 3 like home service and your partner was out there at the time the service was removed, you could probably argue that there was no feasible way of finding this out because obviously you would have not received a letter (which was not sent anyway).
You could say that she never received any text notification either because if she did, she would have terminated the contract on the spot because she's a regular visitor to Hong Kong for work reasons and as her bill for roaming charges proves, it is detrimental to her financially.
The operators at the call center will argue the toss over it - and argue hard - but I do think it's worth a punt, but only if your partner was out there for enough time to legitimately miss the notification of the service removal.0
