Detrimental change of T&C with withdrawl of 3LH service from priceplan.
Think its section 10.1 d that allows you to cancel on detrimental changes, its in this thread somewhere ?
I did post downloadable links to 3's T&C before they changed in April 2009 but MSE decided to remove such.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

This is what i have written to 3, can anyone help/advise (not sure if it sounds ok) -
Dear Sir/ Madame,
I have 3 contracts with your company, myself - 07*****, my partner - 07***** and our son - 07*****.
I have been very happy with the service i get from 3, so in December 2008, i upgraded my account (07*****). At this time, i was not told about your recent plans to abolish the 3 Like Home service.
From 25-May 09 until 1 June 09, all 3 of my contracts had a text message from your company saying that 3 Like Home was coming to an end. In this message, was a link to your website which had more information on this. It stated 'That because of the change, it's only fair that we point out your right to end your contract with us, without paying an early cancellation fee. However, we very much hope it won't come to that because we still believe we offer great value rates and great coverage.'
I then took a look at your terms and conditions, which stated this -
4.1 If you are a Pay Monthly Customer, we will let you know at least one month in advance if we decide to… make any variations to your agreement which are likely to be of detriment to you
10.1(d) You can end the agreement within one month of us telling you about a variation to your agreement (which includes your Price Plan) which is likely to be of detriment to you. You must give written notice to 3 Customer Services within that month and your agreement will finish at the end of that month once we receive your notice. (A Cancellation Fee will not be charged.)
After seeing this on your website, i then phoned customer services to cancel one of my contracts (07*****). During this phone call of over an hour, i spoke to someone called Verson, who wouldn't put me through to cancelations yet alone cancel my contract, but instead tried to get me into another 18 month contract. In the end i told him i would think about it and get back to him.
I then called customer services again, to cancel my other contract (07*****), as my partner is in July going over to Ireland to work. So the cancellation of the 3 Like Home service, will end up costing us a lot more money. Thus giving me reason to cancel my contract. I spoke to a woman called Bianca who told me, as there were no records of the text being sent to my phone, i wouldn't be able to cancel. I then asked to be put through to a manager - Desmond D'souza, who told me that i was a liar and i hadn't received the text. After much conversation with him (again over an hour), he said there was nothing he could do and put the phone down on me!
After such atrocious and quite frankly uncalled for manner from your customer services, i would request that from today's date 05 June 2009 i would like ALL 3 of my contracts ended with no cancellation fee.Got Married on 28th May 2011 :j0 -
Or should that be East and West arms (UK and India)?
Hohoho how witty I am.

The fact they cant tell immediate left or right, you give them geographical credit for the complexities of East & West !

I then looked at OUR JOINT terms and conditions, to confirm such TERMINATION FEE FREE CANCELLATION as suggested in your direct communication via text message, which state:
4.1 If you are a Pay Monthly Customer, we will let you know at least one month in advance if we decide to… make any variations to your agreement which are likely to be of detriment to you

3 Customer Service - 3 Global Services Pvt Ltd India, a third party company of 3UK's parent company Hutchison Telecom whom are employed & representing 3UK "customer services" repeatedly dis-allowed myself from enforcing my contracts NULL & VOID term via 10.1d of OUR T&C as the notified T&C changes by yourselves, 3UK.
Given 3LH is part of my priceplan & being removed from further use of my contracts minimum remaining term/s please find this written notice of my intention to enforce the above sectioned 10.1d aforementioned term within the required timeframe as outlined in our jointly liable contract's T&C.
Yours, glad to be FR33, bye darling
Jenny1979x.
If the contracts are in individual names, copy and paste then edit 2 or 3 copies to printer, have account holder sign, send 2/3 registered, recorded or courier letters.

my 3 contract officially ends on the 28th of August anyway, but it might be worth a call to them to inform them of my new job in <insert relevant country name> and how the withdrawal of '3 like Home' is going to present a major issue with my mobile usage as I will need to call home very frequently after the end of June.0
