victory -meant to say the other day about the medication. No point telling you off as you are suffering so as a result. Hope they kick in again soon.
I hate being on permanent meds too, so I understand, but you gotta take them girl to have a life.
I think I feel some subtle sense of personal failure by needing to be on meds all the time - as though I haven't been as clever or good as everyone else and now I've been shamed publically by needing the meds: does that make sense. Please please - nobody tell me I am talking nonense, because of course it's nonsense, i''m just trying to explain the subtle feelings that one has to deal with in coping with long term illness/diability/meds etc. I am forever grateful I live in a country where I have easy acces to meds.

    .

No one is going to tell you that you are talking nonsense;) I am in a lot of pain, self inflicted, feel sorry for myself, don't want to be on meds like you, my doc has not been told about me being foolish but if she had it would be 'we prescribe them for you to take, so take them they are doing you good, keeping the pain bearable, etc etc' I tell myself off, I had a good clear run of pain free time and thought that i did not need them, that forever tablets were not going to be me, but they are there do the job and I need them, no point saying I don't, I have gone right back to loudly letting out a yelp just to get up the stairs:rolleyes:

On a happy note I sold the dress on ebay for £4 less than I bought it for:j:j I'm in the money:D

Beanie - I am very moved by your response and glad I posted. I didn't think I was the only one and you've confirmed this. kpc - I think it's a subtle thing and not related to whether one is up or down, it's just an undercurrent.

Thanks ever so much for the bike care tips sary. Have made a note of them.
The bike has arrived and I am currently putting it together. Just the last bits to do, then I need to get a bike shop to check it's all alligned and tightened correctly. Felt totally overwhelmed when it arrived but talked myself into tackling a bit at a time and it's coming together. Great customer service from the company I bought it from and have talked me through a few bits.
Those pure Dutch ones are so beautiful Sary, I agree. I went for a hybrid in the end, so not quite as beautiful, but it's a bit lighter (Dutch ones are very heavy) and it's got 6 gears - it's got amore chunky mountain bike look but I can sit up right on it. No wicker basket supplied:D

Scottish Lass -that's great news. It's a way in and who knows where it might lead.Great weight loss too.

Victory - I hate the thought of the level of pain you are in. I just hope they kick in soon. Brilliant news with the dress:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

The answer to this way depends in part as to how much chocolate you eat at the time...:D

:rotfl:I seem to eat a LOT less of everything at this time, I just can't be bothered & don't seem to feel hungry. I'm very lucky in that (apart from getting a bit weepy) I don't seem to suffer from any of the things stereotypically associated with it!

    As to your questions:
    1. Dunno
    2. Dunno - I'm one of these weirdos who's lighter at totm, like stopping smoking and losing weght. Smoke and I put on weight... can't work it out
    3. Dunno

    Helpful git aren't i.

I have to admit, I am not following any particular plan, exercising when I can, and just generally following a sensible eating plan with lots of apples. And trying desperately to avoid eating crisps
    4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j

Have you heard of an apple called 'Jazz'? I bought 2 bags the other day (8 in each bag) they're SOOOOO good!! They're a lot like Pink Lady but smaller. Keep an eye out for them, tasty! :D
lol thanks for your advice & assistance! ;):rotfl:
