Thanks for the new thread Raphael!

It's been such a fab week this week with the weather & everything. Done pretty well with the plan too - average intake 1935 calories/day (this is enormous for me... not been that high since pre-diet days!!!) Correct balance of intake v exercise achieved on 7 days out of 7 :T (This required raising calories above target of 1850/day on 4 days).

Here's how I've been making the most of the glorious weather:
    • Monday: 5K track run | 26:21 mins new pb :D | 240 cal | Track jog | 41 mins | 305 cal
    • Tuesday: Road cycling | 50 mins | 287 cal
    • Wednesday: Mountain biking | 67 mins | 401 cal | Cross trainer | 30 mins | 216 cal
    • Thursday: Hilly cross country jog | 110 mins | 731 cal
    • Friday: Walk | 62 mins | 304 cal | Cycling (bridleways) | 35 mins | 161 cal
    • Saturday: Road cycling | 2x 20 mins | 238 cal | Exercise bike | 30 mins | 160 cal | Manual treadmill | 30 mins | 172 cal | Jumps | 30 mins | 178 cal | Step | 30 mins | 156 cal
    • Sunday: Skipping rope | 31 mins | 210 cal | Yoga 25 mins
Total 11 hours 13 mins and 4031 calorie burn (over 1lb's 'worth' of exercise!). 11 different activities.

Pre-TOTM so I'm not going near scales for a week. Feel great though! Good luck next week everyone! :j
Goodness I'm tired out reading that!
  • Hello dirtyflannel, welcome to the thread :hello:

I lost 3 stone on the Rosemary Conley diet, without exercising, not for any particular reason other than not getting round to it. Now that I've lost the weight I am enjoying exercising in order to become fitter.

Good luck with your weight loss journey - keep posting here for support.

Thanks for the new thread Raph.

I was thinking of possibly doing the marathon in 2011 too Vix. I want to do a half marathon next year and it seems like the obvious step - although also total madness. It was weird when I was channel hopping (cos that is obvious a sensible use of time when I have two lots of coursework and loads of little bits to do round the house) that one of those guys they were interviewing on tower bridge is someone I knew a few years ago.

thanks for the new thread Raph!

Welcome dirtyflannel - just join in, there are quite a few of us in here to natter to. I was wondering if your Dr. could recommend foods suitable for your condition now you've had your op? I presume you need to be careful with high fibre foods, so that you have plenty of fluid to help them travel through, otherwise you'd find them getting sluggish?

Well, the journey down/back up the A1 took us about 3 1/2 hrs. The guy we left the keys with was sozzled!

I think I've caught a cold y'know. At first I thought it was hayfever, but after taking an antihistamene today, and it not really working, I believe it may be a cold. OH no! isn't it feed a cold, starve a fever?? Must not eat, must not eat! he he.

Well the rain is on it's way, which doesn't please me, as we'd planned on having a huge bonfire tomorrow.

OK, well off to bed in a mo, but bootcamp on the diet begins tomorrow. I feel I've been too much off piste these past couple of weeks, so need to get realigned.

Til tomorrow, be good you lovely slimmers!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

    Hia everyone,

have had a poor couple of months for exercise due to things beyond my control, however thanks to this thead I've kept on top of my eating so haven't piled weight back on.

I've decided that I have to find some me time to look after me (and not feel guilty) because if I get ill who's going to look after everyone else, let alone look after me.

So will have to get out the exercise dvds again and now the nicer (allegedly) weather is getting nice time for walks at the weekend along the coast etc.

Hope everyone is doing ok - have missed joining in the banter.

morning all! i didn't get eaten by the dragon which is good. And st george stayed on the horse so medieval ploughing display this year either. Had a fab couple of days chilling out in the sunshine although it was absolutely freezing at nights - woke up at 0600 with condensation all over the bedding so pulled it over my head and went back to sleep. bit gutted that I have damaged my beautiful oak chest getting it in and out of hte car but hte nice man who made it for me happened to be there and told me how best to fix it. Had some interesting food over the weekend - made a blank-mange which is a dish that is pretty much rice pudding made with chicken stoock and almonds with shredded chicken in it; and a cheese and egg soup. Back to plan today with . .

    cocopops, milk, oj and tea
    ricicles, milk and apple
    cup soup
spiced lamb mince with baked pots, green beans.

thanks for the new thread raph, and dirty flannel, i'm loving the hefty heifers phrase!
