• Just used this with Ocado, wouldn't process as a Debit, but went through fine as Visa Credit
• I received my Private Banking Visa Debit yesterday....Upgraded to £250 Cheque guarantee from the normal £100.

I got charged £1.25 for sending money overseas, despite both accounts being in GBP. Woman on the phone assured me this was correct.

How long is it taking between ordering the card & receiving it? I ordered ours on the 17th & they still haven't arrived:rolleyes:

I now know why our cards are taking so long to arrive.......the guy I spoke to on Actionline never ordered them:mad:
I have been assured that they are now on their way & should be with us in 3-4 working days.... We'll see:cool:

That doesn't sound right to me, the charge is suppose to be a foreign currency charge, if the currency isn't foreign, then there shouldn't be a charge ???

When you say you sent money overseas, how did you do it ?

It looks like some companies have registered the BIN as Visa Credit hence the charge maybe contact Natwest and ask them to investigate.

Got my 'Blue' NatWest Visa Debit today on my Advantage Gold account and tried at Morrison's Pay at Pump, took the card, Pin Number and then said ' Transaction Cancelled' !, but took my LTSB Visa Debit card, strange....

Just a quick update on this today it worked at Shell Pay@Pump, could fill up with £60 of fuel and nothing is showing on Online Banking yet not even the normal £1 transaction ?, seems odd it works with Shell and no other Pay@Pump station.

I have the same problem with my new NatWest Visa Debit too. I made several payments with PayPal this month and the majority had a £1.25 charge, even though I sent money in Sterling to UK eBay sellers.

I phoned NatWest, who directed me to PayPal. I phoned PayPal, who told me they would never charge £1.25 and directed me to NatWest. I finally got a phone call from NatWest today to say they will not be refunding the charges

Peter.

Is there any reason you guys have decided to link your debit cards to PayPal instead of just your bank account with a direct debit? I'm fairly sure there's no charges when using the direct debit method.
