How long is it taking between ordering the card & receiving it? I ordered ours on the 17th & they still haven't arrived:rolleyes:

    It's usually 5-7 days.

I think it takes longer now because of the postal strikes.

Is anyone else still having problems with the new Visa with some retailers?

I'm still unable to order from CoolShop as the payment keeps being declined. Is this still happening elsewhere?
Natwest assure me there is nothing wrong there end and the payment is being authorised but not taken :-/

Does the specific retailer need prompting to fix the problem or is it something to wait for? (The company is based in Denmark if that makes a difference)

Got this card thinking I would be able to pre-order a game which I am sure is going to increase in price very soon! :p

Its the retailers being slow of the mark. They was communicated not once but twice since the middle of 2008 regarding the change. The bank are currently looking into it with the retailers and visa so a fix should be put in very soon. Im not sure what the process would be for forgien sites. I would consider using your old card until the problem is resolved if you still have it.

Unfortunately the company in question only takes Mastercard and Visa, it's been months and they still haven't implemented Maestro despite many complaints about it and repeated delays in adding it. Going elsewhere would cost an extra £8 which is quite annoying..

The Visa has been ok everywhere else so far.
  • is it correct does anyone know that with the instant access savings with rbs they are replacing the cashline card with visa debit?/ hubby has a nat west ssavings which he has solo card on soon to be visa but i had heard that rbs savings accounts would also have this feature. i know the instant access savings is no longer available to new custmers so it has no info on the site.

RBS customers can still get a plus card (ATM Card).

Natwest dont issue cash cards theyve always been debit cards.

The best thing to do is order a new card and see what turns up
