What's the point of watching a 3D film if you're not going to wear the glasses? Did your OH not get a headache watching it without specs Tete?!

Apparently the glasses give him a headache  He's an idiot. It's ages since I've seen anything in 3D so I was really excited, all the ads were in 3D too and I really want to see Up when it comes out! :D

Aww, that's awful about them not inviting the both of you up to Glasgow, I'd feel pretty dejected too. You could always arrange to go up yourselves and stalk them! Glad it went ok on the whole though, families eh?!

Hmmm, I have to concur that your OH is a bit of an idiot- what a waste of money to miss the 3D fun! OH was like a kid when we went to see Ice Age 3, he was so excited and kept saying 'Wow!' when things came out of the screen! I'm a 3D veteran so I was a heck of a lot cooler having already seen Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D (and getting excited when things came out of the screen!), although wearing 3D specs over my own was more than a little annoying!
I think OH has decided that we're going to plan a super fun weekend doing something that they'll want to do and not ask them because 'they won't like it'! All we have to do now is figure out how to make them all insanely jealous!

  • Good for you! Haha, serve them right! (It's childish but I'd do the same!)

I think perhaps the 3Dness of G-Force won't have been as good as Ice Age.. it was the things going INTO the screen that impressed me, I really felt like they'd come flying in over my head!

Flower could you not pay off the NatWest CC. Then once cleared see if they would entertain a balance transfer from HSBC. OK depending on your credit rating you might not be able to transfer it all but it would cut your interest rate on some of your debt by 10+%

Not sure if i would be able to do that as the natwest is in my name and the hsbc in OHs name - and OH has a pretty bad credit rating. Got a couple of days to decide which it is best to pay it off though before the cheque arrives.

The credit card company does not care whos name the card is in. You see this all the time on the credit card board. Might be worth a cheeky question to NatWest to test the water.

OK the cards were in my name but they didn't ask when I did a transfer from Capital One to Barclaycard.

All they asked for was the 16 digits from the fornt of the card, expiry date and CVC number. It took about a week or so to clear through

I am scared of 3d , went to see the alfred hithcock 'the birds' in 3d in Florida somewhere when I was about 11 and put me off for life. I always end up taking the glasses off lol.

Families are such a pain at times. We were planning on going down to see OHs family this weekend as is his littlest sisters birthday . One of his other sisters told me they were having a bbq sat but when i asked the sister whose birthday it is, she said she is not doing anything. Might get him to ring his mum and see if they are actually doing something otherwise no point us going down.

Is funny as my parents are up in London today and invited us for dinner and OH was quick to say yes about that, is an effort getting him to see his family though
  • My OH's a bit like that, he can't stand them! Might it be a surprise Birthday BBQ?

Maybe good job I asked what she was doing rather than mentioning it. Will try and get OH to ring him Mum although apparently thats a massive effort for him
