A wallet or a cake? Or a mood?

Going to pay if off the HSBC CC instead as the interest rate for HSBC is 10% more than the Natwest one  Although psychologically it would be a huge boost to see one of the credit cards gone.

I'd be tempted to pay the Natwest one to be honest, then I'd feel like I could 'concentrate' on the HSBC one, and I'd have something to cross off my list. But I know that's not what Martin would say!! Actually can you not transfer the HSBC to Natwest then close HSBC and pay £500 off the total amount?

I can only make fairy cakes using the old style bun batter. They get all crispy on top in a way that cupcakes don't. But then I was bought up on crispy buns smothered in icing - cupcakes were like a whole new world to me!

Does that mean my cupcakes-in-a-fairy-cake-case are crispy? They do seem to have a little crust on top but not in a bad way... And reading my book this morning the cooking times are for muffin cases so I may have been over cooking them. Will try again in my fairy cake cases then next time try the muffin cases. Augh, I have baking insecurities!! :o:o:o

    That's what I thought! And it's almost 10am so what's my excuse?

Enjoyed G-Force last night but OH was a right party pooper and refused to wear his 3D glasses . And he was starving and ordered a sharing platter for starters in pizza hut, then they got the order wrong so we ended up with extra chicken wings and garlic bread :o:o:o Best eat nothing at all today to restore the calorie balance!

    Sounds like fun Tete.

Today I was waiting for loads of people to get back to me, thinking it would take all day, and I have got all the info already! So I am going to do an extra day in work, think of all those extra pennies. Will have to cut a big cheque for my fees on 29 September. Feeling pretty good about doing so. When I was Spendy Lara I never realised saving could be sooooo good!

What's the point of watching a 3D film if you're not going to wear the glasses? Did your OH not get a headache watching it without specs Tete?!
Dinner last night went surprisingly well, Mum seemed to be better behaved than she has been recently; maybe my being short with her last time I saw her and not calling her all week afterwards did something to prove a point! I was still a little annoyed by my Dad and brother- they were making plans to go up to Glasgow to watch a Rangers match and didn't ask OH. When I mentioned taking OH Dad said, 'But he doesn't like football...', errr, he's the sportiest guy they know! Just because he prefers to watch and play Rugby doesn't mean that all other sports are off limits! My Mum had also piped up that she and SIL can go up to Glasgow with them and go shopping and to some museum that I can't remember the name of, and again, left me out- because I hate shopping and museums don't I?! We felt a bit leprous at that point! But apart from that the food was yummy and we didn't end up depressed so it's all good!
You must feel great knowing that you've got the funds for that Big Cheque Lara! And it's good that you got everything sorted so early so you can go to work-more pennies!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Flower could you not pay off the NatWest CC. Then once cleared see if they would entertain a balance transfer from HSBC. OK depending on your credit rating you might not be able to transfer it all but it would cut your interest rate on some of your debt by 10+%
