Sucks you're feeling ill Dinah, keep an eye on it, you have some of the symptoms of swine flu (although, the symptoms of swine flu are similar to any other cold!). Hope you feel better soon though :)

Is everyone who is doing the Diet Challenge counting calories? I've never counted calories. But I have done Weight Watchers which I guess is similar. Does it not get annoying counting the calories of everything?

I'm enjoying the novelty of it at the minute Zig, the food focus site estimates how much weight you should have lost at the end of each day, so I'll be gutted if I haven't lost any on Sunday! I don't think it's healthy in the long term though, I like to just go on how I feel and how my clothes fit.

    Hi everyone

Dinah, hope you feel better soon and that it isn't the Swine Flu, although as I've been delaing with calls about it all day it seems like everyone's got it  Get better soon and get NIM running round ragged looking after you.

I've been quite proactive this week (well in a Pilchard way, not a Dinah way!). I actually got paid for the 2 MS I did last week and I've done another one today. I've decided that as my new job is shifts it frees me up more in the day so I'm going to sort out loads more MS if I can. I've even set up a (VERY rough) spreadsheet. It's not fab but at least I can keep tabs on what I earn or spend for when the tax thing comes round next year. So far I've earned £19.50 (someone pick me up when I faint!!!!). I've aslo done an extra shift at work and have got an extra day for the next few weeks so it's a bit more money in the kitty.

I've also got the whole Northern Rock/Virgin Money thing sorted and have had a letter from NR to say the account has been settled and to cancel my Direct Debit. At least now I only have the one 0% debt to sort out, which I know I can't pay by the time the 0% finishes as I would need to pay about £420 a month but at least I can have a good crack at it.

Right, off to update signature and then go on the treadmill
Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:

    Hey everyone!

Weighed myself today because I'm out tomorrow and will most likely forget, even though I've upped exercise (running, pilates ect) and stayed under calories everyday I've stayed the same. Told myself it's muscle weight! :D

That's fab news about NR Pilchard! Good luck with all the MS jobs, how's the new job?

"nothing tastes as good as thin feels" - I beg to differ, chocolate tastes bloody darn fantastic. I don't like that quote, my old friend went through a patch a while ago being obsessed with weight and celebs, she constantly used that quote, was very sinister.

    Hi all!

Cinny, you're probably right about muscle weight - that's why taking measurements is such a good idea. Keep it up and you'll probably find that you lose lbs over the next few weeks, but well done on the exercise!

I know it's really on my first week, but I haven't quite embraced the healthy lifestyle yet - diet going okay, but not squeezed in any exercise yet and that's what makes the difference for me, so not too optimistic about tomorrow's weigh in...

How are you feeling today Dinah?

PS. I remember Steven Tyler saying he uses the 'nothing tastes as good as thin feels' mantra - now, he IS thin, but is he ever weird-looking?!

Wooop busy weekend here. Finished my first draft of my funding proposal and sent it to the relevant tutors. This afternoon have been at OH studio finishing painting out my friend's moles in her music video.

Now am attempting to grade the edit - basically OH does the creative stuff and then I copy, paste and tweak it across all the shots. Quite exciting really compared to my usual job! It's weird shadowing someone for the day in work. It's so quiet here. Makes me want a change of career to lottery winner x
