Ha, is that an actual career Lara? Any idea how you get into it? I spotted a rather nice mansion on an island on Derwent Water from the top of Cat Bells yesterday that I rather have my eye on. Of course I'd also need a yacht to get to it...

Sooo, today was the first weigh in and apparently I've lost 3lbs since Tuesday (a miracle given the ginormous Indian OH and I tucked into last night) - I'm taking this with a pinch of salt however (metaphorical of course!) as each weigh in was either side of my period so that might have a bit to do with it! Zig, that makes me 11st 3 now, to lose a stone would take me to 10st 6, would ideally like to get down to 10st but at 5'11" that might be impossible! I'm sitting on the fence with that quote I have to say - it's nice to feel thin but I love food so much! Everything in moderation I say!

No exercise for me today, I've pulled something on my walk yesterday and can barely lift my right leg :( I have been into town though and bought some new trainers to wear at the gym, rather than the useless thin pair I have - they have no cushioning to absorb shocks so I feel these trainers are an investment.

Oh and the flapjack! It may be the 'healthiest flapjack ever' but it's also the most expensive! Full of goji berries and seeds and nuts, came to about £13 for the ingredients!! It was fairly tasty though and did seem to give me enough energy on an 8 mile fell walk to not rush into the first cafe I saw in Kesick and eat a big slab of chocolate cake afterwards!

Hope you're feeling better today Dinah, and everyone else is well :)

Hopefully the weight loss is right Tete! That'd be good! Wish I could eat Indian food and lose weight. :p I weigh 11st 6lbs but I'm only 5'3". It sucks. Weird thing is, I don't look fat, I just look big. Does that make sense?! Like a broad, stumpy person, ha! Anyway, I weighed this morning and I stayed the same. At least I didn't put any weight on I guess! :o

Hope your leg is feeling a bit better. The trainers sound like a good investment. I tore some ligaments in my foot like 6 years ago and every now and then that foot gets so painful where I did it. I have done tons of walking the past two days in those flat ballet pump type shoes, and my foot is so painful. I don't think the shoes helped at all cuz they have no support.

You know when there was that conversation going on about contraception/periods a while ago? *Personal stuff coming up* I haven't had a period for about 3 years cuz that's just how contraception affects me, but I have randomly started bleeding over the past few days. Anyone else had that?! :o

Glad you're feeling ok Dinah, poor NIM is suffering now then! Hope he feels better soon. :)

Hopefully for poor NIM it's just a 24 hour thing then!

Zig, at least you're petite - that's why I want to lose a bit of weight, I don't want to get any bigger and end up looking like a bloke at my height! Torn ligaments sound so painful! Apparently Crocs are the best shoes you can get for proper support...

I'm going to try to get back into Dooyoo this evening, tho what I really want to do is go to bed this instant!

Yep Tete it's a proper career - usually in movies. People start off by erasing dust on the film footage and the wires that they use to fly people around (think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). Nice for a day or two but a bit anti-social for me, and the hours are horrific - 9am - 8pm with as much unpaid overtime as they can squash in. In creative fields in London it's so bad for unpaid overtime. At least my job is good on that score.

Sorry Zig I have no help for you - I *wish* my periods would have disappeared when I got the implant. Major bummer. I have had another busy day grading and helping OH, but it's all done now and my friend's video looks great! V pleased.

This afternoon was terrible, I went to brush the kitchen floor and all these horrible wriggly things came out. So had to disinfect EVERYTHING and the brush twice. Ewww.

Flapjacks sound great Tete, yum. Send me a virtual one!

Hope NIM is ok Dinah, send him our best.

ewww those wriggly things sound yuck.

How was everyones weekend? I had a good one, was a friends birthday sat and we had a bbq and went to a roller disco and then sunday went to see OH's sister and her little girls and two of his other sisters were there too. Was holding the baby, she is so cute! I saw two other friends as well for a quick drink. Was quite a busy one need a rest now.

Morning everyone! Wendz is that a roller disco as in on roller skates?? How cool! You Londoners do all the most exciting stuff! Didn't end up doing any dooyoo last night, watched a Kirstie's Homemade Home repeat and got all inspired and started looking up baking supplies on the internet instead

My resolve is being sorely tested today as one of the girls has been made permanent and has celebrated by bringing in muffins, shortbread and flapjack (and I bet it's not the healthy kind!), still though, I'm a little more mobile than I was yesterday so will head to the gym for half an hour after work.

    How is NIM this morning?
