Hi everyone, it's lovely reading about everyone's happy weekends, I think the sun makes me all giddy! Particularly like the spotty dress Dinah.

Had a lovely weekend down in the Peaks - desite the weather on Friday! There was a huge thunderstorm on the monring just as we were setting out for Alton Towers - OH and I were trying to hint about finding something else to do (thinking of the expense as well as wasting the day) but we could see our friends really wanted to go so we said we'd see what the weather was like when we got there - of course it stopped raining for 10 minutes so we went in and then it started again. Luckily the sun came out in the afternoon so it wasn't a complete washout, and it was gorgeous yesterday when we had a little walk out and we otherwise spent our time eating, drinking and being merry so I now feel relaxed and zen.

Need to go through my drawers now to see what I'm taking to Ibiza to get them washed and freshened up in time.

Where have the Thanks buttons gone??

Think the site went down for a bit  i couldnt log on for a while, so did some ebaying instead , but when i could get on all the thanks buttons seemed to have gone - but are back now.

Glad you had a good weekend, im very jealous! I have been ebaying like mad and making a pile of junk that cant be ebayed and needs to go to the tip.

I dont know how we have got so much rubbish, we only moved out from our parents just over a year ago!!

    Hi everyone

have a had a lovely weekend and am now contemplating sitting down with a kitchen planning site and trying to plan the kitchen (obviously!!!!). Dinah, love the stuff you've bought - gorgeous. Been reading through posts that I have missed over the past few weeks with my hit and miss appearances and it occured to me that I need a wedding fund cos we discussed getting married while we were away. Thinking 2 years time so better get a move on.....although I'm still waiting for 'the question'!!!!! Oh well, I'll keep you posted.

    Have a good evening xxx

Very much like my OH. He always drops into conversation certain things that will happen when we get married and have kids.
Think he should ask me before he makes such assumptions :rotfl:

I know what you mean. Ian's got the stag do sorted and has even discussed venues, best man, who I'd have etc. I'm anticipating being asked on my birthday in October cos that's when we're in New York.

Well, everyone, I've been very silly. In my quest to pay money off the Virgin CC I've ended up getting carried away and have now left myself overdrawn for at least 2 weeks until my pension goes in (God, I sound old!!!). I get my wage 4 days after that but I'm not sure how much I'll get cos it'll be the last one with this company. I have been told I will get a little wage with my new company, which will be the last working day of the month so I'm hoping that I get back on track and am not so silly again

Anyway, have a good day everyone xx

Urgh, not good Pilchard. At least you have it there to live from though. And you'll probably spend less since it's borrowed money.

£500 more into the regular savers this morning. Still waiting for coin money to arrive. Won £10 on the lottery which my grandad plays for us at the weekend too.

Yesterdays to do list kind of went out the window, but what did end up happening was probably better in the long run. NIM was going to do some ironing while I did ebay listings, but when we got home there was some washing on the bed, so NIM ended up doing a serious tidy, everything out from under the bed, couple of my old paintings either in the bin or a charity bag, good hoover, reorganise and a good sort. So now the room is a lot cleaner and less dusty, and the right hand side is more tidy (left is still a bit scary). I did manage to get about 12 listings done, more jewellery mainly though, won't be uploading them until Thursday though. Plus by doing the big tidy I've actually managed to fill the ebay 'to list' box again - even have 6 pairs of my shoes in there - 3 of which I've never worn!

Hopefully I can get the contents of that box + the two laptops done by Thursday, plus a random Virgin box. Should bring in a few more pennies to try to pay off the huge amount of vet fees (Saturday was less, but still nearly £80 - why doesn't she get poorly on weekdays?!) and get some more in the house saver.
