We've had awful weather here. The last two days have been really torrential rain on and off. But has been very hot as well which makes it even worse!

Yeah it was really coming down for a while there. Had to go out early to avoid PO queues with my ebay parcel, if it wasn't for that I would've left it til later. you know when it's raining so hard that not only is the ground soaked anyway but all the rain's rushing out of the gutter drains and soaking your ankles too?

Yep unfortunatly :rolleyes: Its like that here aswell.

And lovely OH has left me a list of things he wants/needs from the shop, its only a 5 minute walk but i know i am going to come back looking like i've just got out the shower.

Its been raining here but not so bad now.

I think if the guy just makes a little joke of it, thats a good sign. My OH always jokes whenever someone mentions it but through discussions between ourselves I know it is going to happen...one day!

I was winding him up this weekend, as me, my Mum and sister were looking in Tiffanys so I said I would choose my engagement ring. He is still insistant it will be a haribo ring.

That sounds so cute! That's the kind of thing I'd love, then you could go and pick the ring together

It's raining and windy here but my OH is adamant that we are still going jogging later cuz it will 'brighten up'. :rolleyes: I'm dreading it.

Ooooh no, he'd have to pick my ring for me - its part of the romance of it. Christ whats the point in men even pretending to be involved if women pick the ring, organise the wedding, etc, this way at least they feel like actually they do wear the trousers!

Dont envy you one bit zigmeister, it certainly doesnt look like its going to 'brighten up' here! Stopped raining for about ten minutes so thought i could quickly get to the shops, half way there and i was absolutly soaking!

Listed some more things on ebay, Dinah how on earth did you keep track of everything when you were selling loads?!! Im even confusing myself with it now!

I agree. I wouldnt be very impressed with OH if he proposed and then told me to go and pick my ring. Also would then be able to see just how well he knows me and what i like

Exactly Flower! If the bloke on one knee was holding a gold multi-stone cluster ring or something, I'd question if he actually knew me, as for one, I wear a lot of silver, and for two, I like simpler things. That said a few weeks ago I looked up and NIM had a ring open on screen that from the brief flash I saw of it looked lovely and a bit different- large rectangle diamond with a slim diamond bar set into the ring on either side. He got all embarrassed and quickly closed the page.

Know its a topic we sort of ramble back to quite often on the thread, but to be fair we talk a lot about other things too! NIM also made the comment 'I hate that doe-eyed look they give you in jewellery shops when you ask to look at a ring' then backtracked and paniced about having said that. I'm remaining confused though, so many subtle as a sledgehammer hints, and yet he doesn't actually give any indication of things being more than hints!
