Roller blading all the way Zig!! maybe spending the money will make you feel guilty if you don't use them? and if you find it doesnt work out you can always sell them? I swear jogging is meant to be bad for the knees anyway?
Rollerblading but don't forget to budget for a helmet etc too!

Spendy day for me too yesterday, reckon all the catering cost about £60!!! in the end. I guess that's not too bad at £3 a head but still. Worked my backside off baking like a maniac. Was glad we weren't able to go to the video shoot - the studio was tiny and everyone was roasting. Nobody knew who anybody was or where anything was, it all seemed quite stressy and disorganised. I hope they got all the shots they needed.

Then we went out to a gig which was GREAT, even though the group, Plaid weren't as good as we hoped it was really cool to be out. Had a fab time. I am not moving my bottom from the sofa today.

Lovely bargains Dinah, loving the summery dresses.

ROTE - we missed you, glad you got everything sorted for school.

Pilchard I can't believe that about your job! How awful. I would have thought it was employment law to provide each employee with proper equipment suited for them. Still it sounds like you have made it into a really positive situation for you.

Zig - Year One is great, second time I've seen it now :o If I'm geekily honest I'd happily go watch it a few more times before it goes to dvd.

Lara - Glad the catering went well! Can understand you not wanting to stick around if it was roasting. I think I've heard of Plaid, they're a electronic band right?

Trying to find things to do in Kent, think I've cracked it. Saturday we're going to either Broadstairs or Dover, Sunday is Down house and Chartwell then the drive home. Just need to find something to do on the drive Friday, going from Nottingham to Kent so passing a fair few places, any ideas?! Thought I could use it as an excuse to go to Old Macdonalds farm in Essex but they're fully booked.

Just about to grab some lunch then attack the washing pile, have a nice end of weekend!

Hello! You got some lovely stuff yesterday Dinah! OH gave me £50 to treat myself yesterday and I looked all over and couldn't find anything to buy! Why is it when I have money I struggle to spend it?! I ended up getting a dress for £15 and a pair of £20 shoes and had to give £15 back to OH because he found a t-shirt he wanted!

Cinny, it sounds like you've got a lovely time in Kent planned! I can't really suggest anything for the Friday though, I don't know that part of the country at all!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

    Hi everyone,

Hope you have all been having a nice weekend. I hd a great one, went to Take That last night, which was amazing, loved it. Was quite good money wise as well, did buy a programme, although mum chipped in a fiver and Mum bought us drinks and afternoon tea at m and s too. She also got me an ice cream this morning as we went on a walk round hyde park, got to love Mums!

Dinah - I love the stuff you got, particularly like the dresses, I have a real thing for dresses at the moment.

OH has got herself a sowing machine and picked up a pattern yesterday so she was at that till about mindnight till she started getting grumpy so asked her to stop. She would have done more damage. She has spent this morning cutting out more of the dress shapes (while I got to spend 2hrs cleaning the car!).

Well Paris did cost a fortune as expected. Checking the Barclaycard this morning (which has a balance transfer on it so no spends) and there was a pending transaction. I think the hotel might have put through a hold on some of the available credit in case we didn't appear. They did it the day before we were due to arrive.

Spoke to BC and they said it will either clear or be accepted. If it is accepted I will be annoyed and will have to send them a copy of the bank statement showing we paid via the Joint account instead. Oh well. Here is to it clearing.
