(Saturday was less, but still nearly £80 - why doesn't she get poorly on weekdays?!)

Bless her! Is she better now?

Sounds like you had a good tidy yesterday! Does make you feel a lot calmer I think, when your room is all neat and tidy (or at least half of it anyways) Good luck with your ebay bits, I sold some more clutter last night so I'm going to wrap and post them off in my lunch break.

Decided not to go to Disneyland afterall, OH isn't too keen (read completely terrified) about theme parks and I feel pretty selfish making him spend his money/use his holiday time just because I want to go. So instead he thinks we're having a cheapy weekend in Blackpool and detouring to York on the way. But I've found a luxury lodge to book for the week instead, I've been to the place before and it's basically in the middle of no where so it'll be nice for OH to get away from it all and relax, plus it's over our 2 year ann so I can spoil the poor sod rotten / give him too much cider so he falls asleep and I can watch telly in peace. Worst part is going to be keeping it a secret! Going to put the deposit down tonight... If I have his holiday dates right..

Is that in the same area Cinny? York is gorgeous - was there at the weekend. Your man seems to be utterly spoilt a lot of the time, does he work part-time too? I know he pays rent so if he's only working part time I can kind of see why you spoil him so much since you'll have the only disposable income! I'm sure it won't happen, but just be careful he doesn't resent you for taking the 'provider' role away from him, I know you want to treat him all the time, but a lot of men would rather go cheapy than have their missus pay their way. We womenfolk are much simpler - we're happy to be spoilt!

Pilchard - I am anticipating October too as is my birthday as well! Or November for our five year anniversary.

Cinny - Blackpool sounds like a good idea! My OH is scarred of heights so does not like rollercoasters, feel so cruel when i make him go on them.

Dinah - well done for the money in the saver, and well done to NIM for doing some cleaning too!

No, it's up in the Ribble Valley, it's lovely there! So quiet and dark at night my mum was seriously worried if we got murdered no one would find us

He works full time but still doesn't have much disposable income but when he does he spoils me rotten too, like taking me to Kent and the Laura Ashley spree. I know what you mean about the 'provider' mode though, I'm being very careful when it comes to that! I think it'll be a case of 'you paid for the lodge so I'll buy food/petrol' so hopefully he won't feel like I've completely stolen his trousers or whatever!

Sounds fair if you both take it in turns to spoil each other!

    Morning everyone,

Seems like whenever I click a Thanks button all the rest on the thread disappear, strange!

I got a bit of sorting done last night too Dinah and although I have piles of laundry on the floor ready to go in, it feels great knowing the insides of my drawers are all neat and close properly and everything :)

Shame about Disneyland Cinny but if OH isn't going to get his money's worth than you're being very fair. It wouldn't be as fun for you either knowing that he wasn't enjoying it. OH sat out Oblivion on Friday because he was scared witless and I thought he loved all rides like me!

Speaking of proposing etc, not that its really on the cards for me, but my friends family who I've known since I was 3 and are very upfront about everything were pestering the life out of poor OH all weekend about setting a date so we can have babies to be a playmate for friend's baba - cringe cinge cringe!!

Augh, work is sooo busy again this week - don't they know I've got loads of stuff to organise for holidays?!

How did your OH react to that Tete?! Always think the reactions are great, if they panic then inside I kind of slump and think 'oooh, commitment phobic, that's new', if they nod and smile I think its quite sweet, if they start discussing this adorable baby-gro they saw in mothercare last week I quietly get my coat and leave!

:rotfl::rotfl:Sounds like my OH when his friend recently became a dad.

They sat there discussing when hes going to buy her her first football kit (shes only 6 weeks old), if OH ever thinks our kids are going to be wearing his teams football kit - especially if its a girl - then he is very much mistaken :rotfl:

He was sort of nodding and smiling and going "ooohhhh, I don't know about that!" (to the wedding questions) which I don't think is too bad a reaction. We're both of the opinion now that it'll be a loooong time before we have kids! Friends' 8 month old son is gorgeous but there's just so much crap that comes with them and the whole routine thing and having to take 3 nappies on a half-day out ... ... I'm not ready for all that at all!

Just been out and got a couple of things done on my list, but got completely drenched in the process so am now sitting barefoot in the office.
