If he doesn't know me well enough to know my tastes then I don't think we know one another well enough to get married! I mean the colour of metal you like is a fairly easy one to guess, I wear a silver cross and two silver rings every day. The only gold I own was inherited. The ring on my right hand was a gift off NIM and I love it, sort of a relaxed 'v' shape with blue stones inlaid one on either side into the V, so I think he has learnt what I like pretty well.

I can see your point there but really my tastes are very particular, even I can't put my finger on it sometimes why I like or dislike something. Hmm, am all wistful thinking about sparkly diamonds now ...

Most definitely! Cheeky sod. I have told him tho that he must ask my Dad. Cuz my Dad is the kind of guy who would be offended if not asked/chuffed to be asked!

I do get the romance of the guy picking the ring, and if the ring was perfect then it would be amazing! I have dropped hints about a local jewellery store that does rings I like. So I wouldn't mind one from there. Everytime we go past the shop I wanna go in!
