Just got rang by Natwest and good news is can definitely get the amount we need for deposit. They said they would even be able to do more, but not sure we could afford that! Just need OH to have his contract, which I am sure they will give him when he starts at police.0

There is always time for gym.
I am planning a run tomorrow to the gym to jump into the pool before I have to run up to Heathrow (Terminal 3) to collect OH. DOn't plan on paying heathrow park though. Going to park in nearby village till I get a call that she is outside the terminal building then I will just drive in (only 10 minutes)0 -

She's really pretty and has a great personality but she has no self confidence so she's single, and will be forever if she doesn't change her attitude towards herself, how can someone love you if you don't love yourself?
OMG, you could be describing my best friend! It's her birthday next week and I had her crying on the phone yesterday about how she's worried her life will never change ie. she's still single. And I AM sympathetic and I really don't understand why she's never had a boyfriend but I can't keep having the same conversation with her. I know it's a cliche to say she's pretty and has a great personality but she really is/does! She says she's happy at a size 18 (even though she's bigger than that at the moment) and if she loses the weight just to get a boyfriend it's not 'for the right reasons'. Grrrrr! How is there any better reason than to prolong your life?! Sometimes I wonder if her weight is an excuse - maybe she's scared to lose it incase she doesn't get a boyfriend straightaway and thinks it's her personality. I just wish I could talk sense into her!
And I do know how hard it is to lose weight - I struggle to lose a stone and it must be pretty daunting to know that you have to diet and exercise for a very long time before you get to a 'normal' size. It's a real problem!
Sorry for the rant guys! Seems like we're pretty much on the same wavelength, so any good advice welcome!!

Sorry for being scary TPA, I think it boils down to the fact we all know someone who is overweight, and we love them, and want as much time as we can with them, and we know the harm they are doing by being overweight and its sad to those around them.
My dad is a perfect example. Now fair play to him, he cycles 90miles a week minimum and plays football once a week, BUT he's overweight and my mum is terrified hes going to have a heart attack and she'll loose him. He eats like its going out of fashion, lots of snacking in the fridge when the rest of us are already asleep!
I know where you are coming from, me and hubby both need to lose a considerable amount of weight and I know his family worry about him. However for me when I was with my ex I used to thow up after every meal, in the end my skin looked dreadful and I started to have heart palputaions. I'm not making excuses I'm fat because I over eat, I remember going to the doctors once and her saying 'do you think you have put weight on because your on the 'pill'....er no, I'm fat because I eat to much I said, she was amazed at my honesty!! Just saying really I need to be careful as I don't want to get bad into very bad old habbits, however I am much fitter now and that is more important to me. Plus on a MS point, who wants to buy lots of clothes when yu buy them because they fit not because you really like them:rotfl:. Sorry I'm being glib now

Well at least you're honest TPA! I like that, I work with ladies who claim that they eat like a bird... I'd like to see this bird they liken themselves to!
Just got back from the gym, I'm so tired! OH kept expecting a lot more from me than was possible, think he's a little shocked at my pathetic-ness! He now has a project in me- uh-oh!
Poddle, it really does sound like our friends are very similar! I think my friend is scared to lose weight too, in a way. She's always been big, even as a little girl and I think she knows her place in the world- the funny, bubbly, chubby friend. Maybe she wonders where she'll fit in if she was thinner...
And I definitely know what you mean about struggling to lose just a stone, I think my extra stone is very attached to me and doesn't want to leave!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I know I work with people who live in a different world as to why they are overweight. Saying that though I'm sure people say about me 'if only she realised why she is over weight'....erm I do know i'm not disilusioned, just fat:rotfl:
With that in mind too, I know i'm not seen in the same light as someone who is average weight. I'm am also guilty of thinking like this, someone who is overweight cannot possibly be inteligent, happy, good at what they do etc... Also I know for a fact overweight people are passed over for promotion. I do laugh when I hear on the news that overweight people take off lots more sick time from work. My hubby has had half a day off sick in all of his working life!

Controversial in here tonight! I must confess to loving food and eating too much of it sometimes. I try to make up for it by cycling and eating well at other times. I think because we have got no money sometimes food or wine becomes an easy and affordable treat. It's probably the 'I deserve a treat' mentality that is so naughty in the first place.
My sisters are both really unhappy with their bodies and would like to lose quite a lot of weight. I think they are both beautiful and also I think Beth Ditto rocks. I think it takes all shapes and sizes, and that you can easily be beautiful and sexy if you have a larger size. I'm not at all into the whole size 0 thing and think many of those girls are not attractive. As with everything it's the extremes that are not so good.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0
