Hey -If Taye wants to close this thread-then she can.........I would too-but I'm hoping she starts another one too :)

Just a couple of things to add though-I'm not so sure that Dave found you wanting......I suspect he may be feeling "he's" not up to the job-his failing NOT yours.
Don't retreat entirely back into your cacoon Taye -use the forums-find the cheap days out stuff, get the boys in Scouts, investigate Gingerbread (not for a man but for new friends who DO understand the babysitting issues) and don't give up the gym either !! Take smaller steps -in your own time......cos admit it-doing different stuff WAS fun ! ;) I totally understand the more solitary life too-shut the door and it's just you and your kids-I do it too-but also try and balance it with a bit more social stuff as balance IS a good thing. No you don't *need* a man -or maybe masses of friends -but friendship is always nice and I'd like to think in time you meet more friends who will give you that little bit of support we all need from time to time (just like you got in this thread-even if some us got a bit over-powering at times !)

I wish you happiness Taye and hope to read about your journey on a different thread.

This man, this time may not right.

There will be another man & another time....please dont put yourself down to be alone forever just yet :)

Oh, and maybe a few more men & a few more times before you meet the 'one'

Hugs & best wishes for the future taye xx

Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

I've got a question: how did you make your raised beds? I've got some onion seeds that have sprouted, and some tomato plants that, whilst a bit fragile looking, are growing, and I've also got some strawberry plants that I thought I could use. Are you growing potatoes? A friend of mine did hers in an old dustbin, but do I drill drainage holes? Ooh, and I got some free lettuce seeds with my Nat.Trust magazine. So, could we change this into the: 'when to start gardening again?' thread?

Aside from my gardening questions, I just want to say I know *exactly* where you're coming from, been there, starred in the video, wore the tshirt, etc. It took a long time for the self-imposed barriers I'd erected to protect me and my children to come back down, but when they did, it was of my choosing. You don't *need* anyone, man or woman, but you do have the right to *choose* to have anyone in your life at some point in the future. Hang on to that thought, and bear it in mind when an opportunity comes your way.

Take care, and do stay with us on MSE on other threads, because you have lots to offer us here, and I won't just speak for me when I say it's a good alternative to BBC1 of an evening more often than not!

Wishing you all the best for the future Taye.

Don't be a stranger either - none of us will judge you, and basically what sarymclary says as she is a wise woman:D
