some people fall in love quicker than others, if i were you i'd be flattered that he feels this way. i do agree with others, about having a quiet word about not spoiling the kids too much, being generous with his time, is what most kids would want
enjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)

Take a deep breath, he hasn't actually asked you to marry him, has he? I think it's lovely that he's hinting at the possibility long-term, I think he's trying to reassure you in every way that he can that he's serious about trying to make this work.

If it's any reassurance, my DH started dropping hints about marriage when we'd only been together a couple of months (ok, so it wasn't 2 weeks lol) and he proposed after 4 months. 14 years and two kids later, here we are :)

I think you do need to continue to take things slowly - certainly don't reply "I love you too" until you feel that you can meaningfully say so. Maybe try to make a little light of it when he does it again? For now, you definitely need to send him a text, perhaps saying that you miss him and look forward to seeing him next weekend (I hope you do see him next weekend, that's the longest your fan club here can wait for the next instalment!)

    Argh total nightmare...

Ok so first things first i need to reply back saying that im not breaking it off and that i do want to see him again Yes, asap. Poor bloke is probably bricking it.
Argh i dunno the whole thing is a mess AGAIN and i dunno what to say, in one text he told me he loves me which is sweet but it's not like i can reply back saying "i love you too" Then don't. Tell him you miss him or whatever you actually feel. Try not to panic about the i love you thing. He's telling you he loves what he knows of you which is sweet and great that he doesn't have a problem telling you you're important to him.

I dunno it's not just the fact that he wasn't to get the kids a bed but it's 2 weeks!!!! 2 weeks and he seems to be planning a lifetime?? heck i think that freaks me out more than the idea of sleeping with the guy. Hold that thought! But again, don't panic. He's not planning the minutae, just thinking ahead - at the very least, you could take from that that he isn't too deterred by your "leaping moments"
    :D

It'll be hard trying to have heavy conversations over the phone while he is away but you must keep talking so there are no misunderstandings.

Taye I agree totally with Jinky67's posts 634 & 640. You were warned by his friend about Dave's "enthusiasm" and that you would need to rein him in to meet your pace. A good tug is required now, but not so much as to throttle him! :D

Read very carefully over what you are going to text him to ensure it says exactly what you mean it to say. Written word can be misconstrued and cause problems through misinterpretation, in comparison to the spoken word.

    Or just ring him.

I told my now hubby that I loved him before we had been out! I had known him to say "hi" to, saw him in a pub one night, put my arm round his shoulders (he was sitting down, he isnt a dwarf!) I said "I love you" He replied "oh, do you now" 2 weeks later we started dating, and that was it!

SOmetimes when its "right" time scales don't come into it!

Arh talk about ganged up on!!!

Just had a "visit" from Dave's mate... *sigh* dave has apparently been having a Tizz since last night having got off the phone with me, understandably made worse by the fact that didn't reply to his text's i eventually resorted to begging his poor friend to call in on me to check i was "ok" and that he hadn't upset me too much.

*sigh* ... Despite the poor guy feeling like a total lemon calling on me.

Well i decided to use the oppertunity to quiz the poor bloke on Daves usual girlfriends and exactly what he ment by dave rushing things. I dunno i guess i was concerned that Dave falling in and out of love was a "usual" thing, i didn't really fancy being daves 35,000th love this year haha.

the poor bloke didn't know what hit him, but i managed to find out some useful info... not quite sure how i feel about it all yet, still leting it all sink in but hey here we go.

Since his marriage split up Dave has "dated" but nothing serious.. usual stuff go's out with a girl a few times end of story.

Hmmm ok .. daves friend has known all about me for months, litterally months....or so im told. I was the girl Dave spotted in the gym proceeded to tell his friend about without even getting up the guts to say hello, if daves friend is to be belived, he was pretty much ready to kill Dave if he didn't say hello soon as where a few others of daves mates.

I was the one who eventually broke the ice (i asked him to help me with a barbell ... (i can't even remeber?! is that bad??!)) Dave was over the moon and proceeded to drive his friends mental with the "now on speaking term's girl" he liked in the gym, but who he still didn't have the guts to ask out.

Fast forward to about 1 month ago, dave declares to said mates that "im the one" .. baring in mind he STILL hadn't even asked me out. daves mates beging weeks of riducule and taunting about this mystry girl dave had decided he was marrying even if he hadn't even asked her out.

Fast forward... eventually he ask's me out.. we go out have nice time.. blah blah you know the story. On the next meeting wth his friends now "armed with a date" he is even more convinced that i am the one, and no amount of reason from his friends will convince him otherwise.

Daves mates try and convince him that even though he's 100% sure, that really telling me might not quite be the best plan and that he should slow things down?

Dave however isn't much one for listening to advice apparently.... hence our current situation.

    Hmmmmm.....
This months aim :- Stick to food Budget / find £100 for my car insurance
    May GC :- £250/£234.55 :T:A:T
    June GC :- £150/£127.37:eek:
