I know but but... im just not sure taking my kids to his house is a wise plan.
But you would feel less comfortable having him at yours, yes?

It's not like you are taking them there and leaving them, you will be there, and at the end of the day you feel uncomfortable at any point you can leave.

The way I see it, this guy is going out of his way to get round your babysitting problems, how many would do that?

To me it says that he is keen and that is a good thing.

Why not - they will have a real treat playing the playstation!
Thing is ...... you can carry on and make excuses and not go then look back at what may have been .......or just go!!
Think of it like this ..... you are going to visit a friend as thats all he is.
I will expect a full report tomorrow morning x

    what do i do!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Just start believing that this is really happening to you and your luck has changed at last. He obviously wants to get to know you better (and you him I'm sure) so please just go and enjoy it. And don't go all defensive if he chats to your kids, I'm sure he will feel he has to be inclusive to all of you.

I agree with the others again, just go, tell the kids it's a friend, it won't kill them to go to his house and meet him! They'll have a fab time with all the toys and gadgets while you can chat to 'Dave' I think you're doing great emailing him and keeping him up to date on why you're so nervous! I think once you've got the chat out of the way you'll be able to feel like a weight has been lifted and you may even let him kiss you (even if it's on the cheek!)

Relax and go enjoy your night with 'Dave' and the kids, after he's met them too, then you could maybe go on more dates with them, play areas, bowling, kid friendly pubs, the park, the zoo and you get the picture!

Stop worrying so much Taye, 'Dave' sounds lovely and so into you so please try and relax and just go with the flow! Let us know how you get on!

Taye, take deep breath and then JUST DO IT!

Tell your boys that a friend from the gym has invited you all to his house (they will be so excited at the idea of the toys they won't question it at all, why should they)

Try to relax & enjoy yourself. Dave sounds like one in a million, and I'm guessing he's a good listener. Sit down & talk with him & try to chill out.

Keeping my fingers X'd that we'll hear about a first kiss tomorrow :o

    Good Luck
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T

    Taye,

Life is full of opportunities, some we take others that we don't.
We regret not taking opportunities as we never know where they may have taken us.
This is an opportunity for you to grasp and see where it takes you and your kids.
    Enjoy
  • Well you already know what I'm going to say don't you :D

    GO!!!!!!!

All you are doing is taking your kids to a friends house for tea and a few games on his playstation, x-box etc. There is nothing wrong with that whatsoever.

Please go Taye - better to go and find out if there is anything there whatsoever than to spend the rest of your life wondering what might have been - or not as the case may be.

I think there is far less pressure on you if the boys are there. 'Dave' sounds like bloke of the century and he isn't stupid, so he's hardly invited you and the boys round for a romantic evening. Chat and dinner is a great start.

If you don't go I'm going to be really mad with you ;)

oh and we all want a full update at the earliest opportunity - hopefully later on this evening once you are home and the boys are in bed. WE WANT ALL THE DETAILS :D:D
