Taye, sounds like you will be every bit of good for him as he could be for you. It sounds like his background has sheltered him from real life to a large extent.
I find him getting the kids to gang up on you quite funny too - I would have done the same! It is a fun way of involving the kids.
His pulling your legs onto his lap was nice, showing he wanted to be close to you but not putting you under any pressure or feel uncomfortable.
Ok he doesn't drink, but as long as he doesn't mind you having aclohol I don't see a problem. I know a few people that are the life and soul at parties that don't drink (not me though! :D )
No kiss was a pity, he maybe thought that it might be best to wait for you to make the move, considering the past episode and also that the kids were there. What a gentleman is my summation.

You're too modest Taye, he goes to the gym to see you.

As for the finances, some men want to pay for everything, if that's his way, let him.
You can cook him a Sunday roast sometime.

Yay for Taye & Dave :j:j:j

I'm so glad you decided to just go for it!

The ice is well and truly broken now & I for one am already imagining you filling the larder & digging a veggie plot in his garden (I really should write a Mills & Boon :o)

But hey, there's no rush, how about next time you invite him out for a picnic with you and the kids?

He sounds so lovely & it's clear he likes you, not your bank balance (or lack of it)

I'm so nosey I need to ask, no Kiss?? was that because you avoided it or some other reason?

Dave is a lucky man, please keep us updated.
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T

And maybe you should tell him you nicknamed him Dave cos you didn't want a couple of friends to know his real name....
.....just in case you call him Dave in the near future ;)
Whatever you do please do not mention this thread - he will probably run a mile if you do, I would as I would not want my relationship so public. You need(ed) our advice, but Dave doesn't have to know.

Real life is so much more interesting and heart warming than the telly - isn't it? Regarding the babysitting problem, what ever happened to the friend who was SO keen for you to spend time with Dave?

    :)

I second what NAR says, I wouldn't tell him about this thread yet.

Save it for later, if things develop in the future then you might choose to tell him (and I bet he'd have a little giggle at it) but I would leave it until you are a lot more comfortable with each other.

No, no kiss .. he didn't try, i guess after my last episode he was scared i'd run off and leave him with my kids haha.

Maybe you could write your mills and boon and tell me how it's supposed to go??

i will admit though i feel abit more ready for it, when/if it should happen i think i can ALMOST say that im abit excited.

I'm seeing him at the gym this afternoon as usual, but i have the afternoon off work so i might see if he wants to do something, unless you think it might be abit soon, i don't want to crowd him like some freaky stalker woman haha... but damn i want that larder!!!
This months aim :- Stick to food Budget / find £100 for my car insurance
    May GC :- £250/£234.55 :T:A:T
    June GC :- £150/£127.37:eek:
