I do an onine shop quite frequently using vouchers from the vocuhers thread. I think Asda have a spend £35 get £10 off ATM.
I'm very lucky and live within 5 mins of Aldi, Netto and Sainsburys. I go to Sainsburys many evenings through the week to pick at the reduced items, usually at 8.30. Last night I got:

TTD (taste the difference) chicken breasts stuffed & wrapped in parma ham 50p (were £3.99)
    baby asparagu/sweetcorn 10p (was 1.99) x 2
TTD stilton and chesse sauce 20p (was 1.99)

    Guess whats for tea tonight!
I'v been doing quite well in Sainsburys lately always at about 8.30 buut it can be hit n miss.
    I love finding these bargains!

    :)

Is there a good time to shop at Tescos for bargains? I've done my shopping list on line and got a list which I intend to stick to but I've heard that sometimes you can get good discounts if you go later - is this true?

  • when i finished work tonight i had quick whizz round and got 2 packs off stewing steak for 40p each, pack of lamb mince for 45p and one of tesco big bbq packs theat are usually £9.99 for £2.50p the only prob i've had shopping at night is low stock levels.this might be different in a 24hr store but mine shuts at 10 and most of the filling is done after that so if they've had a busy day you might struggle to get everything you want esp in the way of fresh food.

My local Tesco is a 24 hour one and we often go there late at night. Tbh though, I've never really seen any reductions/bargains there when I've been very late, and it's always pretty chaotic as they're restocking, sometimes you can't actually get down the aisles! Maybe very early morning is better? Having said that though, I haven't seen many reductions there are all, even when I've been during the day, perhaps because it's so busy.

I have often been to our local Tesco between 19:00 and 20:00 while DS is in his football club. There always seems to be masses of heavily reduced bakery and pre-packaged meat items available during this time.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Late night Saturday is good for v. cheap bread; I lived off top quality seeded bread for 3 weeks which had cost about 30p in total; got them to slice it at Tesco's, too. Brilliant.
