SK is this at the managers discretion? Our nearest coop never reduces their stuff to anything near decent, but I often pass a different one on route home on a wed night, and they have some great reductions.
As for the weekends, I usually got some good reductions in Asda on a Sunday.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0 -

Trying - no all the coops should do it - depends on whether they are busy nad it is listed as a priority or not i guess but ours is always done - we forevr have things down to 10p/20p in an evening - we have abotu 15 packs of the bernard matthews wafer thin ham the other day down to 10p and they were gone in a matter of minutes. Bags of rolls in ours go down to 20p and there is usually frech sticks for 20p too.
Maybe you should speak to the coop manager or staff abotu their policy but they should all be the same as it is only wasted and binend at the end of the night if not sold - if you do go in and there is something reduced but goes off that night - you could at least ask a memebr of staff - liek i said maybe they are understaffed and jsut havent been able to get round to doing itTime to find me again0 -
I find sainburys the best.
I got a 1kg pork joint for 50p the other day as well as 2 X 1.5Kg silver side joints for 70p each full price nearly £12 each  and 2 X 2.5Kgs pots 20p each and 1 pint of 1% milk for 5p each got 8 and chucked in the freezer. Wish I had bought more now damn, got 8 so saved myself £1.60 on milk as I was going to buy 2 x 4 pints for £2.
It is pot luck what you get. And also depends on the weather as during the summer months when it is dull and grey there tends to be a glut of salad items. I have two sainsburys I visit and one shuts at 8pm and last reductions are 7.00-7.15pm. The one I got the above bargains in shuts at 9pm and does last reduction from 8.15pm. I picked the above bargains at about 8.40pm.

No things that have the next days date on will be half price but anything that is ment to be reduced/wasted that day will have been reduced down to 20p ish mark. Unless your coop is really good and simply has no waste - ours seems to be a bit off with stock rotation so there is always a fair bit of reduced stuff.

Anyone else shopping later in the day to try and buy some bargains? Due to the rising cost of food I have started to pop into our local supermarket just before closing to try and bag some bargains. It is a Waitrose, just opened, yet with hardly anyone in it no matter what time of day, I imagine because it's so expensive. By popping in later in the day, I have been able to buy some really good meats for up to 70% off and stock the freezer for later in the month, plus buying bargains for my mum and dad too who are also feeling the pinch. The staff in Waitrose couldn't be nicer, nothing too much trouble, and the reductions are really good.
Anyone else doing this?0
