What time do you do your shopping?

I have tried early morning, mid morning, lunchtime, evening and midnight:eek:
I have to say about 7am seems to be the best time to shop when everything is on the shelves but the downside is NO bargains in the cold cabinet so I end up going again later in the evening:eek:

Thursday or Friday evening online and it gets delivered on Saturday night or Sunday morning by the lovely man from Tesco

I'm an early morning shopper, too. Best for avoiding the crowds but, as you say, it's not easy to get the bargains and sometimes deliveries are late!0

I used to prefer going around 11pm as it was much quieter and I could browse the aisles in peace. However, I get paid mileage for my work so now I drop in whenever I'm passing after an assignment so that I don't have to drive on my own "miles" I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....0

i aim to go later on a thurs afternoon to asda as that is when all the fruit and veg is reduced, bread as well if i am lucky0

Just depends. If I only need a few items I will pop to a local supermarket mid afternoon as they big selection of reduced to clear.
But if I want to do a big shop I pop in at about 7pm as most of my local supermarkets shut at 8pm :mad:
And the only 24 hour one that is local to me is a Mr T's and he ain't having my money.

usually in during school time. As the store is a busy one there are not many reductions like there used to be so it is not worth going later.The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

I agree about 7am is great. I use to stack shelves in a 24 hour supermarket on a friday night and we use clock off and then go and do the shopping.
Mind you we had a few come in while we where stacking the shelves. Guess who use to get told off for having an untidy aisle on a saturday night at 2am when where shut :mad:
Agree about no bargains but find if the shop is 24 hours does not have such good bargains.

About 9.30am on Mondays,just after I've taken the kids to school.It's nice and quiet,but not many bargains around.0

I have yet to find a good time! I don't drive so have to go either evenings or weekends. Both me and OH dislike food shopping so that doesn't make it any easier. I also work 5 evenings a week! We sometimes go when I finish work at 10pm and although it is usually pretty quiet the shelves are often pretty empty and we end up not getting a lot of the things on the list. Also at that time there is usually only 1, maybe 2, checkouts open and we usually have to queue for some time.
Weekends are also pretty busy and by mid morning/lunchtime again the shelves are often pretty empty (especially bread and veg). Don't know what the answer is really. Have thought about shopping online but have heard some bad stories about that - getting things that have a sell by date of the next day etc. Also I do like to feel all my fruit and veg!!!!The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
If I shop online for groceries, I try and book a slot for lunchtime'ish and dont often get substitutes. OH prefers shopping of an evening about 9-10pm and gets quite alot of bargains and reductions.
