Sorry Towner, haven't seen it anywhere near £599 anywhere. Maybe someone else has though. If you can wait a while Currys will probably put them on promotional price again - it's just a case of when. I'd been hanging on for this one since missing out in January.

yes totally agree it really does encourage the family to drink more water because its so much more chilled than from the tap.Its like having bottled water all the time.

hi we have a whirlpool one, it was in the garage unplumbed for years and is now in the new kitchen. only thing is we cant find out how to connect the damn thing up to the cold water line the builder made for it (like a washing machine copper pipe with connector).

cant figure it out! is there somewher on t'internet with instructions or kits?

Had mine delivered today, delivery drivers seemed ok - I think they would have even taken it out of the box if I'd have asked them - it's a damn big box, probably the best packaged item I've ever seen!. I said "do you have many houses where it wont go through the door", he said "no, we just take the door off".

Fitting the water pipe is a bit fiddly (you have to take a rear panel off), but not too bad. If you've got a washing machine on the same water feed, you'll need a Y splitter.

Looking at the power usage, it states it'll cost around 520kw a year, a kw costs around 12p - so it 'should' only cost around £60 to run for the year... someone in a previous post was talking about costing a lot more, blah, blah - but at £5 a month, i'll still be able to sleep at nights.

Overall, for the Price (around £522, including the egg cashback), I'm well pleased.
