I bought this fridge too from currys in the new year sale.. for £521 using free delivery and mcdonalds codes..

so as another posted said.. double check it will fit through your door frames..and be prepared for a battle with the delivery guys..

    good luck!
That's when I missed it first time round...didn't quite have enough after Christmas! Then I wouldn't buy it at full price because I knew I could have had it cheaper!

Have measured front door and it will fit but I've got to widen my kitchen doorway and not long to get it sorted! Thanks

 Rich?! I wish. I've saved and saved for ages to get this. It's not often I spend this kind of money on things.

Can I ask, what sor of fitting do they do for £30? Do they just plug it in? Or do they hook it up the the water system for the ice?? I don't have water anywhere near where I would put one of these, but £30 wouldnt be bad if they done that too!

They plumb it into the existing water supply but I don't think they will do any further plumbing ie extending the pipes etc. The appliance should be installed within 1 metre of water supply. Maybe one of the other posters who already has the Fridge Freezer knows more?

We were refitting the kitchen at the time so it wasn't a big deal. We had a cold water supply to a washing machine at roughly the same site as the fridge freezer was going. THe plumber did the changes he needed to do first and then when the fridge freezer was delivered he came back to hook it up to the water supply, I presume only the second part of this is covered by Curry's installation service and that they will check that cold water supply is in place when you order. Seems to good to be true otherwise as I imagine it could be a maror hassle if there are no unused pipes nearby.

By the way I wish I'd got free delivery I think we were £50 - that was pre MSE days though. I'm much more savvy now!

Imy85 When you look at the price it's a really good buy - I was about £450 for my last bog standard Bosch and there is just no comparison. Wouldn't have bought for the sake of change but I needed it and had fancied one for a long while.

Can't wait to get it now. :j Been after it since Christmas when it was on offer and just when I was about to get it they put the price back up!!!

    Even better PompeySteve.
Only thing is I've got to widen my kitchen doorway before the 23rd! :rotfl:
We got ours from Comet about 3 years ago, when it arrived they tried to get it in, but it was a little tight, so they took the doors off got it in the kitchen then put them back on. Only 2 screws holding them on and the water pipe which just unclips, cheaper than messing with your door frame.

Same here busymumof3 - really need a Fridge Freezer. Have only got a small fridge at the moment and looking at some of the prices of 'ordinary' fridge freezers it seems silly not to get this one at this price. Have wanted one since I can't remember when and have saved for ages!

They do come with a long piece of plastic pipe so you could use that but you would have to hide it out of the way. When we got ours, I just used a qiuck connection that lets you use any cold water pipe near to your fridge> All you do is tighten it up and it makes its own hole.Until I could get the pipe work sorted out.

Thanks for the advice owey. Unfortunately our kitchen door is situated quite awkwardly, opposite stairs, so wouldn't be able to turn the FF from the hall through into the kitchen. Quite hard to explain!
