Samsung American Fridge Freezer

Use the current Curry's code for £50 off £600 spend to bring the price down to £549.99 - I have just used the code but opted to have the freezer installed @ £29.99. Total price installed was £578.99
Not sure if I should put codes on this board so here's a link to the Curry's page with the code:

Don't know how long this offer will last!
And if I really were an angel, I'd float over your bed
Each night a different dream of me I'd plant inside your head

I'd appear in a vision and I'd give my wings to you

I have this same model nettynora and I absolutely LOVE IT. Can put the weekly shop away painlessly and freezer allows me to stock up - looks like the freezer aisle in Sainsbury all stacked up. Amaging how quickly you get used to ice on tap and we all drink more water now especially the kids.

I paid £699 plus a delivery charge from Comet so you're getting a bargain.

The only downside is the cost of new filters. They are approx £50 from Comet, Currys, eSpare etc. My first only lasted 5 months (should be 6 with avge use). I paid £38 from EBay first time and then managed to pick up the next one for £26.

Would recommend it to anyone if you have the space. Delivery men moan a bit though and be prepared for the tape measure to come out to measure your doorframe!
  • Just to add that this is a great fridge-freezer, which I picked up for £629 last year. Definitely one of the top 'grabbit' bargains !

Get your replacement water filter cartridges from here. You can even opt in and they will send you a replacement cartridge automatically every 6 months.

Plumbing is a doddle, the filter kit has a suitable T adaptor. The water piping is supplied and is thin, 6 (think) MM wide stuff. I'm no plumber but managed to get it hooked up in no time.

Note:When Curry's delivered mine, they had to take the doors off the FF in order to bring it into the house. when they put them back on they didn't reconnect
the cables on the Freezer door so none of the panel buttons worked. All I had to do was pop off the door hinge cover and there was a molex plug/connector that needed 'joining'.

    Enjoy!

I get mine from here and are only £12 a pop!

In fact, the water tastes even better than with the original Samsung cart.

I agree, the cheaper ones are just as good, the first time you use one you will have to change the ends that fit into the pipe. After that you don't need ther fitting kit, just remove the old one and replace with the new one. Don't forget to put it on the right way, and before you connect it up to the fridge side, let a few Lts of water pass through it into a bucket or you will have "real" black ice. You will see what I mean when you do it, all is on there instructions.

  • I too have this fridge freezer and its brilliant.Having chilled water and ice available constantly is great.I actually got mine from currys online in a sale for £499 and got free delivery witha code from this site, but ive never seen it anywhere near that price again so this is a top bargain. Thanks for the filter advice as mine has just lit up that it needs replacing and was wondering where to get filters from. Also i dont know if this is the normal but our kitchen fitters installed ours and they put the filters neatly into an adjoining cupboard for easy access so you could ask for that

To think I paid £900 for mine about 4 years ago. Still going strong though and the kids still drink more water than would ever have been the case!
Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?

yes totally agree it really does encourage the family to drink more water because its so much more chilled than from the tap.Its like having bottled water all the time.

I think I have the slightly newer model with the internal twist-in filter. Thanks for the site reference PompeySteve at £41.95 still cheaper than list prices. My sister has the external filter and was able to pick hers up for about £15 including postage.

Just hope that someone comes up with a cheaper generic internal filter soon!

I bought this fridge too from currys in the new year sale.. for £521 using free delivery and mcdonalds codes..

its a brill fridge.. you will be pleased with it, and as another posted said.. be prepared for a battle with the delivery guys.. i measured my entrace ways..and knew the fridge would fit.. (just about) when the delivery guys turned up they said point blank that it wont fit and didnt even bother trying.. i spent 5 mins trying to convince them it will fit.. but they werent having it..(pure laziness) so they took the fridge back and cancelled my order. I then re-measured everything and was 100% sure it would fit.. so i ordered another one.. this time it was a different delivery team.. and they got it in no problems.. was really pleased with them! it did take me over a month to get my refund for the 1st fridge back though..

so as another posted said.. double check it will fit through your door frames..and be prepared for a battle with the delivery guys..

    good luck!
