Hmmmmm-quite interested in this offer. Im currently on an 24 month contract with 3 for mobile broadband, but i hate it! it runs out in October thank god, so was hoping to get sky broadband and know need to get a bt line installed so would have to pay the installtion fee in October. Suppose need to weigh up whether its worth it or not- am i right in thinking if i got this offer now, the cheapest plan i could get is £11.95?

I am moving to a new rental home on 15th May - the landlady tells me that the phone must be reconneted if I want it - I want broadband - which is the best and cheapest plan?
    Happy to have 18 months

A chargeable call is one for which the subscriber will have to pay.

An 'inclusive' call is one which, within the subscriber's particular calling plan, is included (i.e. not chargeable).

An example of the latter for someone on BT's Unlimited Weekend Plan would be a call of less than 60 minutes at the weekend to a UK landline number starting with 01, 02 or 03.

In your circumstances, the cheapest way to get a line is with BT's latest offer and, thereafter, you can choose whichever ISP you want.

I ordered a new BT line for my new house and received a phone call from BT this morning about the £122.50 installation fee. I queried them about the free installation and they didn't know anything about it. She said she would speak to her manager and phone me back.

I received a phone call 5 mins later offering free installation as long as i take an eighteen month contract and pay £2.95/ month for the "unlimited weekends"

thanks for making me aware of this offer its saved some money :T

As part of BT's latest 'free installation' offer, their Unlimited Weekend Plan should be free, not £2.95/month.

However, the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan is, indeed, £2.95/month. Did you agree to that instead?

Yes, I'm on the TT broadband and phone and am very happy with them. Service has been perfect, the one technical issue I had was resolved through the excellent staff they have on the members forums, and I have had a much better experience than my previous BT & ISP combination.

My Mum is moving to a new house and I'm recommending she goes for the TT new line installation rather than faff about with all this BT free installation offer that seems to be a hassle to get the call centres to agree to. I'd rather sign up on the TT website that'll take a few mins than spend 30 mins on the phone arguing with someone that they should be giving the free offer!!

    Hi guys,

When I ordered my BT line last week, they sent me a letter confirming the details.

The letter correctly states the line rental as £12.50 (will be less when I get online billing).

However it also says "You have agreed to pay your bill by: Monthly Payment Plan £16.50"

I have no idea where this £16.50 amount has come from and the Indian call centre was useless.

    Anyone got any ideas?
  • BT engineers on site today - arranged about 3 weeks ago.

Any chance I might be able to get in on this deal.

Plan was to set up BT line then go to Sky for telephone, broadbank and tv as an alternative to very expensive Telewest Phone and Broadband and separate Sky.

    Any thoughts?
