Checked with my bank this morning, and at last, a refund! :j I'd like to thank Matt for his help in getting it back (and I will be updating my ticket with your abuse team, Matt) ... and if I were you, I would think very carefully about hosting that site - I'd hate for your company/name to be dragged down because of one individual's sorry actions. I know it was only £28, but it's the principle of the thing!

    Nice one Joelleski

Glad you got your money back too!

This company pays us significantly less per month than most of you are trying to reclaim. For us its not about trying to not lose the customer due to money, its about waiting until he has sufficiently broken our Terms of Service before we can actually consider termination. As it stands (as you can see from this thread) anything we raise with Chris is fairly promptly dealt with once we have spoken to him, and nobody has yet failed to get a refund (even if they are very slow coming) so as it stands he hasn't TECHNICALLY done much wrong. We'll see how it goes once you have all had a refund (we're down to just a couple outstanding now) and see if the problem seems to be put to rest or continues.

Has anyone actually received what they ordered...I'm yet to hear of a successfull transaction in the past few months?!

I got my tracking number off him..as suspected useless.. have asked for my refund as suspected...no reply!

Technically in my opinion he's doing a lot wrong, taking money with no intention of sending goods is clearly WRONG. And yes I know theres no concrete proof of this but anyone who's still being fooled by the lost in the post line clearly isnt all there...EVERYTHING cant be lost in the post.

I think we all have a lot of better things to do with our time than chase our money around and theres going to be a time when he cant carry this on for much longer and disappears and then the remaining people still waiting for their refund will be left with a hole in thier pockets!

if i was that company i would no longer be using royal mail as it obviously causes them to much hassle, they should find a decent courier
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.
  • Just an update. I got my usual e-mail about Royal Mail being at fault.
Looks like i will have a long wait before i get a refund ( if i get one).
Like a few here i would love to know if anyone ever receives an order.
  • I did eventually get a refund in July (some 4 months after my order). I think this was only because I contacted the Trading Stadards Office and the VAT office. as well as continuinally sending emails to 'Chris' I don't think the address given on the website is false because I sent a registered letter to 'Chris' at that address and he acknowledged receipt of it.
  • Hi, I'm waiting for these people too-£39.16 paid on 21/6 and all the fob-offs sound familiar oops

It seems that this sorry saga is set to continue with more and more people falling foul of The Perfume Emporium short-term interest free loan scheme.

Including the 2 'new' people who have joined this forum today I can count a total of 13 people (inc myself) that have not received the goods they paid for from The Perfume Emporium.

Ha ha ha, made me laugh out loud at work!!

This has dragged on longer than any other issue i've had with an online retailler. I wish I would have read the reviews in depth, I would never have purchased with them.

Why do they continue to use Royal Mail if all the parcels keep going missing? He may be able to claim back the money from Royal Mail but its nt easy to rebuild reputation, especially when an online retailler.

What have others done to ensure they get their money back?
