what makes this argos so special:confused:, the rep from the store says that they get them from the argos warehouse, which presumably supplies more than one argos, so how come this store is the only one getting it
    Seems strange. Hope he hasn't mis-priced them:eek:.

No but think of the poor staff member who got it wrong.

Yeah but no sense in thinking that way, its obvious the price is right, had enough chances to check it and was advertised as a special to generate sales at exactly that

I can't remember what I bought but it was something major a few years ago, think it might have been something for the garden, oh I remember it was an electric chain saw. Couldn't believe my bargain and told everyone. A few more got it but by the third day they were back to normal price and when they queried with staff was told it had been a pricing error and the wrong model had been reduced.

These offers have been on every so often for nearly a year at Argos Stretford, they get Managers Specials every so often its been Sat Navs, Video Cameras, Wii's, Mobile Phones etc on special offers since last year, but only at this branch.

There is a Argos Direct factory less than a mile away between the Kelloggs factory and the Trafford Centre, I dont know if this has anything to do with the offers as Stretford is definately the nearest branch, maybe they get the best offers first?

I'm sort of glad I missed this offer - I probably would have gone & bought one!
I already have a 40" Samsung 5 series as the family TV, and a 37" Toshiba 555 as my pc monitor.
No idea what I would do with a 42" Tosh' - top display though, and amazing price.

    :edit:

Infact - if i'd had the balls, I may have bought the lot & sold them on for an almost guaranteed profit of ~£100 each! (though not sure how i'd get them home :D)

I must admit, the thought did cross my mind :o But it was hard enough getting just the 1 in the back of the car!

Will have to keep my eyes peeled. I live 2 miles down the road :) Actually walked past the store today and they have a box of the TV in the window with a message printed saying out of stock but hoping to get more in soon
