Blimey is that how much you can pick a 42'' up for now! Unreal the way the prices have dropped, I hate to think back what I paid for mine a few years ago. Whats the reviews of that TV like though anyone though?

Looks like normally £684.99 in Argos

Thios model ends in DB so not sure if exactly the same.

Not anything online under £500 as far as I can see so this really is a bargain, if you can get there!!

We had a 40" Tosh which developed a fault on the screen, a known common fault with the 40" so they had no replacement screens in stock to repair it. They replaced it with like for like and we got the model the OP has posted, very happy with it, recently there was an offer on HUKD for the same model, the general opinion was it was a great deal.

Its very annoying how much these TV's drop over time but expected as with everything, I think our original purchase was £1000 just over a year ago, if this model was the like for like replacement then that gives an idea of the quality you can expect from this tv. Oh and the lady assured me the 42" model does not have this screen fault we had so I expect this TV to last longer than the first one.

Also found Toshiba the one of the most helpful companies I have had to deal with when sorting out our problem, the store had none in stock to replace so they collected and delivered our new replacement direct from them within a couple of days. :T

    OMG! Thanks sooo much OP!

Read this thread about an hour ago and went straight there and bought one! :T

I asked about reamining stock and there are now about 11 left out of 16 left so still a fair few. (As of time of this post)

When I walked in to speak to the (lovely) CS lady she was on the phone to someone who was reserving one right there and then! Was it someone from here? I bet it was! Lol. Calling about half 1 and reserved one to be picked up later today? Come on, say hi :hello:

Anywho - this is one of the best buys i've known! So again thank you OP for alerting me to this and thank god i'm local here in Manchester to actually get this bargain.

The Toshiba TV set is really gorgeous, and big! :D And the 1080p is awesome, as is the picture and sound quality. I even noticed in the window it still has 'was £684.99' on it!

    Made my day! :T

could anyone who got one confirm which model they are??
If you ring the store to reserve, they use a different item number which isnt listed online and said they couldnt confirm the model number??

oh and could anyone who got one please tell me the width of the set?? TIA
  • Does anyone know if any other Argos stores are doing this offer ?
