Whew! Just received a funny coffee maker from them this morning and thought to myself ... sh*t, did I order the wrong thing ??? ... but after reading that others got the same thing, and that on the invoice it charged me zilch .. I'm a happy bunny! I hope they don't send me the camera as I don't want it anymore!!!!0

I got two cameras and the plastic dinner set... the courier came to collect the whole lot today including the catalogue! I just wanna get my money back and forget the whole experience!0

I've received my B&W TV this morning (as a free gift, of course).
To me, it works fine. The picture is OK as well as sound.
Don't have any idea why so many of you dislike the TV so much (any bias ???).
I didn't noticed any special problems with it.
Although it's only B&W set, it is ideal toy for my small "engineers". :rotfl:
Really, can't complain.
You don't need to love Empire, but it doesn't mean you can call their items s**t.
If you do not like your TV just leave it outside. Maybe others will find it useful.
I know, it's not plasma, it's not dolby, it's not high-tch, but it does what it suppose to do.
And, all of you ordered it by yourself.0 -

I have received the camera and tele today... THe camera look cheap adn nasty, but is it any good. Has anyone used it? Does it work? I am not sure if to open it up, as I am not sure. Please advice.
The camera works. Not very good thoug. Short avi films are really horrible. pictures depend on light conditions. Forget about colour balance etc. This is not a quality camera.
You can open it. I think Empire will have to take it back anyway if you don't want it. there is no question about it.0 -
I order one of these cameras but I am still waiting. Paid for it as well. I have emailed Empire stores twice about how long will delivery take but no reply. Guess i am not going to get a camera!!0

Just got this email
IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM EMPIRE STORES RE: YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA ORDER
You recently placed an order with us for a digital camera, on offer at just £19.99. Unfortunately we made a mistake when loading this product on to our website and showed another product in its place.
You may have, or shortly will, receive your order. The product we have despatched to you is a 2 mega pixel digital camera - the original offer - and not the 3 mega pixel digital camera we mistakenly displayed on our website. Please accept our sincere apologies for this error.
While the product still offers excellent value for money we totally understand you may not want to keep it. Please be assured that you can return the camera to us, free of charge, for a full refund.
If you have any questions about returning your goods or getting a refund please contact our customer services advisers who will be pleased to answer your questions. You can call between 9am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday on 0800 0966 777.
Once again we offer our sincerest apologies for our mistake and any inconvenience we may have caused you.
Talk about closing the stable door after the horse ha boltedthe thing is they didn't just "show" the 2mp camera they described it too and that's too much of a mistake for any reasonable person to swallow imo

I got the skirt I ordered for my daughter and a free mini TV, but no digital camera. Still since the skirt cost less than ten pounds and I used a ten pound voucher I got it all free. The TV does not work, I can't decide whether it is worth trying to get a replacement or just dumping it in the bin.
So I got a free skirt for my daughter... I'm sure I could have found something better to use a £10 voucher on, so not that impressed.0 -
I have have received the same email as above. It appears they may be covering there backsides i wonder if someone has found a loophole and made them supply a 3mp camera?:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

I have just received the email today "RE: YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA ORDER" It looks like they have oversold the product and are now trying to shift a lower quality item in it's place.
I still have no idea when it will be delivered though.Martin0
