Well, I recieved my camera and free cofee maker today, I would almost be happy with 2mpx if it wasn't for how very cheap and plasticky the camera was (horrible rubbery feel to it like a gym mat!!)

The courier was very nice and very helpful; calling me when he couldn't get into my apartment complex and then delivering it 5 miles away to my work address when I said I was there! So a very very nice courier indeed, but it doesn't make up for the dissapointment at recieving an inferior camera, even if the total only was £13.

I'm still going to complain to empire and consumer direct but don't expect much. I'm tempted to keep the camera anyway as it's still better than my ancient 1.3mpx and it probably cost me about £7.50 after I've deducted the other goods which isn't bad for a camera I intend to take to parties and get trashed anyway!

Received parcel from Empire Stores today. No Camera though. States the above item is sold out. I ordered it for my daughter to take to Venice, she however went yesterday! The parcel contained net curtain ordered for 99p to bring total to over £20 to claim discount and a coffee machine. The delivery note shows total amount of order as £0 so have received curtain and coffee machine for free.

parcel one had a tv and brise bise, and informed that camera out of stock
parcel two had a bale of towels (peach!), and a juicer

i rang customer service on there local number of course, and enquired about the delivery and was told the camera will not be coming and the rep seemed adament about that fact!, and all the other things in my parcels are free!

what a way to loose money paying for courier and delivering goods which one would not have bought , but cost them something along the way!
plus i never even ordered the bale of towels

Now somwebody out there steer this pack to enforce them under trading laws to deliver that 3 million meg a pixel camera

How do you lot manage to get freebies as well? All I got was a 2mp camera and a catalogue.

After reading this site for a short time you become bound by the three laws of internet shopping. (2 of them are here; http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1085270194,52624,)

1) use a shopbot to get an idea of the cheapest price you should be looking for (e.g. pricerunner, I think this "bargin" was found using froogle).
2) Look for discount codes (we used hotukdeals to find the codes used here)
3) Use a cashback site, and use a cashback credit card.

just got off the phone to these muppets....

ordered the '3.1' megapixel camera + net curtain for £10.46 at least 2 weeks ago. thing is, im moving address 2moro so i rang them up to notify them off this as i havent recieved my goods as yet. the guy told me that a delivery had been attempted, which i told him was garbage cause i hadnt received a card through the door. he gave me his apologies and told me goods were on way back to empire and would i like to reorder them. so i told him to just resend the package (mainly in the hope it would be full of freebies and no camera) but he told me they cant do that and i need to reorder the item.so i asked it to be reordered and he broke his back to make it clear its only the 2 megapixel version id get. totally pi**ed off cause that now means because ive ordered the 2 meg version, if any legal action does become of it i wont be part of it!!! so i reordered it anyhow, but when checked his stock, he told me its out of stock on a big backlog and would i still like my metre of net curtain....................

i told him to stick it where the sun dont shine and to cancel my account. he was all to happy to do that.

sorry for the rant, they are clueless muppets.
