    Hi All

If, like me, you did not have a customer reference number to enable you to register on the Empire Direct site and see your current account status, well now you can.

I was so annoyed with this fiasco that I clicked the unsubscribe option on their latest e-mail, which......wait for it......opened up another page displaying the customer reference number.

This can then be used to register and you will see your account details, orders, returns, etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

I got the following message from Empire today:

Thank you for your order/catalogue request.

Unfortunately, we are unable to process this, as you have not quoted your residential address. We do not accept business or college/university addresses.

If you wish to submit your order again, quoting your residential address, we will process this for you.

    Yours sincerely

    Empire E Mail Query Clerk

I used my work address because if I use home the parcel goes straight back to the post office and I can't get to collect it during the opening hours (also I live in a block of flats so you can't be sure that parcels might not go walkies) so now I am hoping that I did the right thing by accident!

By giving them a work address they don't want my order... now if I could only pluck up the courage to look at my bank balance.... too near the end of the month for that!

Hi all, same old story with me, received tv today, but no camera (thankfully, saves me sending it back), thought the tv would be ok for camping at least.

Tried the tv and it worked for about 3 minutes, but then just wouldn't tune anything in. Turned it off, and then it wouldn't turn on again due to a dodgy button, so its completely useless.

Not even worth Empire paying the postage to get it here.

    Never again. :o)

I wasn't happy with the reply I got from Empire so emailed them again sayng that I wasn't happy at having £19.99 taken out of my bank account for an item I didn't order and then having to wait up to 10 working days from them receiving the item back before the money would be credited back into my account and this is the new reply I have just received:-

    "Dear Mrs ......
    Thank you for your email.
We had made a mistake when loading this product onto our website and showed ano
ther product in its place. Once we were aware of the error this was rectified,
however many of the cameras had been sent out and we are offering this to be returned and we will refund any monies charged .
    Please accept our sincere apologies.
    Kind regards

What a load of rubbish, this reply is worse than the last one!

Received a parcel today despite cancelling my order last week after finding out it was a 2MP camera. So what did I receive? The cheapest, nastiest coffee maker you have ever seen - truly dire! That will be going back, not even worth putting on Ebay, what a bloody performance! :(

  • Don't think you need to send the coffee maker back as it was a free gift (yippee!).
