If that is the case, you can tell Empire Stores to collect the goods. If they do not collect them then, under the Unsolicited Goods Act, they become your property.
They will simply get their local courier to come and pick the camera up, that's what they offered to do for me when I phoned last night (but it's easier for me to go to the post office and send it back myself) so I doubt there is any chance of you being able to keep the camera as unsolicited goods.0 -
Thank's CROSSLEYDD42 for your info on the 3 meg camara
But I have just called in Homebase to look for the camara
and can't find them anywear, when I asked about them
the person looked at me as if I was mad
As if to say " we do D.I.Y. not camara's
Can you confirm that it was homebase and if you have
had a chance to look at the spec yet.
Thank's0 -
I received some plastic plates and the delivery note said that the cameras were out of stock, but would be despatched when available. I phone Empire to cancel the order and was told that they wouldn't be getting the cameras back in for 'a long, long time if at all ever' and that they'd already been cancelled.0

They will be getting some back in stock really soon (at least the 2mp ones they say they really meant to put on offer) all the ones that are being returned by disgruntled customers0 -
I ordered the camera and 1 metre of net curtain for £10.98 last wed 15th but nothing has arrived yet. I don't have a customer number so can't check its progress online so I thought I'd phone to find this out and also to get my customer number. I explained all this to the guy and he put my name etc.. into the computer and he said my details aren't on the database. I said I'd ordered online and he said 'You need to phone up and talk to somebody about this'. What did he think I was doing?0

Ordered 2 camera's and unfortunately they are only a 2 megapixel, but received them both today at the reduced price of £12.49!!!! so think its still a great bargain. Gonna give one to my friends daughter (age 13) and one to my mum for Mothers day. Not Bad for £12.49.0

I have the same problem as Daisy............I ordered on the 15th and delivery was supposed to be yesterday. No sign of anything yet, but after reading all these posts I don't think I'll even bother ringing them up unless any payments are taken from my credit card (in which case all hell will break loose !). Empire.......more like Empile of s*** if you ask me !!!0 -
Anyone have any idea of where you can get a similar spec camera for <£50?0

Well I'm pleased to report that I found Empire's site so difficult to use without setting up an account with them that I abandoned the whole process. Good thing too by the look of it. Good to see a seller helping with my money saving0

hi...got my empire parcel today.......all excited......a free telly was in the package but no camera. :-( would have accepted the 2mp version but the delivery note states - refering to the digital camera - "we regret the above item is sold out". No mention of it coming back in stock. Still a free telly for no out lay, not bad at all.... good luck everyone else with your orders.MFW 158 - Wanna be Mortgage free in 2 years (sept 2010)1st Jan 2008 - Mortgage £30,478.97, Term 6yrs 9m2008 Total OP = £7,859.
