I didn't even get an order number, this company is terrible, I'd never order from them again. And I'll probably be more reluctant to buy another 'bargin' recommended in the email unless people have actually used the service before,.. just because its a good price, doesn't mean the product won't be a pile of !!!!, and more money might be saved spending a bit more cash, on somthing that actually arrives, and works.

I'd better get my camera. It didn't look like the courier had tried to deliver when I was at work.

Received my camera today it was the 2mp. Phoned to complain and got the usual speil apart from when he said they did not have to honour the contract made and they didnt have to contact me to tell me they had made a mistake before despatching the goods. I would love to know which consumer laws they are working to?

I just hope Martin can kick some consumer butt on this one as Empires attitude is appauling when you call to complain.

My telle, dip dishes, catalogue, and welcome pack came. The Digital Camera will be dispatched when in stock. The "Catalogue Number" for this item is marked as "SW6826" but the "Stock Code" is "SS6826" ?? So except from reading here I would have no idea that I will get a 2MP camera. The price of all items that have been delivered are marked as FREE. Hmm. What to do now? Should I expect any further advice from anyone investigating at MSE towers? (I could fax my delivery note if that would help).

By the way, for anyone who would love to see the superior quality of the TV we have received, I did a google search for "Television Ref AT0424" (which is printed on the user manual). Sure enough, someone sold one on Ebay. I don't know whether anyone else has posted or seen,, but I did notice this morning that Homebase are selling 3mp pixel cameras with digital zoom only at the knockdown price of £29.99. I didn't look at this spec, since I was in a hurry.

not feeling too excited by the cameras, but feeling less excited about the prospect of returning them.

delivery was supposed to go to the office as we're never in weekdays. however we had a missed courier card when we got home last night that said "will try tomorrow - called three times today". I just happened to have someone in my house working on the bathroom (who didn't hear the courier) so I asked today if he'd mind leaving a note for the courier to call his mobile so he could come to the door and collect the goods. He did. No one called him. At nine o'clock tonight, there was a loud banging at my door. Was confronted by an irate courier who shouted at me "I've been here three times" thrust my delivery into my hands and stormed off in a foul temper, and glowered at me from across the street muttering under his breath while he got into his car!

Doesn't fill you with confidence for the return leg does it...

What did I expect though? I'm sure there's some saying about paying peanuts...

Sorry to all those who feel that they've been stitched up, but I think it's so funny I've been giggling all day.

Erm, I'm pretty sure that's not what that means - I used to work for Empire Stores in Bradford and the (20 weeks) means that you have chosen to pay it off over 20 weeks, not that there is a 20 week wait for the item (you also see 52 weeks, as 20 and 52 weeks are interest free)

I'm pretty sure on this, you'd better check with Empire!

Tried to buy, appaling e-commerce website, think I bought two (cos I tried twice) infact I didn't buy any.

They really need to look at their site, it must be the worst I have come across.

And now it's only 2meg - glad I didn't get one.

I just had a thought, aren't they switching of analogue transmissions in a few years. Don't know what i would do with this tv then. Have a look at the following completed auction eBay link for a good laugh :rotfl:
